The general aim of this study is to determine the knowledge levels of university students on distance education and the Google Meet application programme. The descriptive method was used in the research. The research was carried out in the spring term of 2020–2021, and consisted of 462 volunteer university students studying in the field of computer engineering at various universities in the Marmara region of Turkey. In order to determine the information of the participants, a measurement tool called ‘distance education platforms’ was used, which was developed by the researchers; the measurement tool was collect-ed from the students with the help of an online questionnaire. The raw data obtained from the measurement tool were analysed with the SPSS programme and categorised to reveal their understanding levels. Based on the findings, it has been determined that although digital natives have good views on today’s distance education and Google Meet topics, the level of understanding of the related concepts is quite high.

In Indonesia, the implementation of online mathematics learning does not always run smoothly, there are various obstacles that occur, such as the lack of gadgets owned by teachers or students, internet networks are still weak, etc. So that the readiness of mathematics teachers in managing online learning is very necessary, especially in utilizing technology. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the readiness of mathematics teachers in carrying out online learning. In this study, we aim to describe (1) online mathematics learning in primary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic; (2) the ability of elementary school teachers to use technology during online learning, especially in learning mathematics; and (3) the content that teachers use to present online learning. We conducted research by distributing an online survey to 56 primary school teachers, over a period of approximately two weeks of data collection. The findings in this study are that most mathematics teachers in schools still use whatsApp and google meet or zoom media in conducting online learning, elementary school teachers still have not mastered learning technology well, and most teachers are still limited to using video downloads from YouTube, PPT and conventional books to present learning.

Pembelajaran jarak jauh dan umumnya dilaksanakan secara daring yang sudah terlalu lama menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap hilangnya kemampuan belajar mahasiswa. Kekhawatiran tersebut perlu dibuktikan melalui monitoring terhadap proses dan hasil belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mendeskripsikan hasil belajar sains dan pembelajarannya pada mahasiswa diera pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan di Program Studi PGSD Universitas Mataram. Sampling dilakukan secara purposive. Sampel terdiri dari 192 mahasiswa yang ukurannya ditentukan dengan menggunakan persamaan dari Slovin. Data aktivitas dan hasil belajar dikoleksi selama perkuliahan semester ganjil Tahun Akademik 2021/2022 menggunakan instrumen berupa dokumen hasil analisis U1, U2 dan U3 untuk mendapatkan nilai akhir pada mata kuliah Ilmu Kelamiahan Dasar (IKD) dan Pembelajaran Sains SD. Data yang berhasil dikoleksi dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan bantuan program SPSS for Windows versi 25. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar sains dan pembelajarannya sebesar 70.97 (setara dengan B) berkategori baik. Secara berurutan, nilai minimum, median, nilai maksimum dna range adalah 13 (setara E) kategori sangat buruk, 74.98 (setara B+) kategori baik, 95 (setara A) kategori sangat baik dan 82 (setara A) kategori sangat baik. Modus adalah 75 dan 78 dengan frekuensi sebesar tujuh. Nilai modus setara dengan B+ dan kategori baik. Mulai dari persentil 15 nilai mahasiswa sudah berada pada kategori cukup, sehingga paling tidak ada 85% mahasiswa memiliki nilai kategori cukup dan di atasnya. Ini diperkuat dengan data distribusi di mana hanya sebesar 10.5% dari mahasiswa yang derajat penguasaanya berada pada kategori kurang dan sangat kurang. Dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa telah menguasai konsep sains dan dapat membelajarkannya pada peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar.
