A literature survey revealed that few analytical methods by high-performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC)-UV [6], RP-HPLC [7], LC-mass spectrometry (MS)/MS [8,9], liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry [10], ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry [11], HPLC-DAD, and HPTLC [12,13] are available for the estimation of chlorzoxazone in dosage form and in human and rat plasma.
