“…However, there is currently a lack of research examining the relationship between self-efficacy, future time perspective, and occupational burnout simultaneously. Moreover, research in China on future time perspective predominantly revolves around the teaching profession, with very few studies focusing on the future time perspective of clinical nurses (27,28). Therefore, the following hypothesis is proposed: there is a significant correlation between clinical nurses' self-efficacy, future time perspective, and occupational burnout, and future time perspective may serve as a mediator between self-efficacy and occupational burnout (29)(30)(31)(32)(33)(34).…”

“…Self-efficacy is about one's belief in one's own capacity and competence rather than in one's skills (Kasapoğlu, 2022). Bandura (1997) defines self-efficacy as "beliefs in one's capabilities to organize and execute the course of action required to produce given attainments", or as "the judgments of people about their abilities to reach certain levels of performance" (McCabe et al, 2019;Yada et al, 2022). Kryshko et al (2022) argues that people with high self-efficacy choose challenging tasks that they believe they can overcome and use their abilities to accomplish rather than easy tasks that they can accomplish (Kryshko et al, 2022).…”
