Abstract: The Santa Catarina State Agricultural Research and Extension Organization -Epagri SA, owns one of the largest Brazilian colletions of erva-mate (Ilex paraguariensis St.Hil.). Preliminary agronomic trials identified two promissing erva-mate materials named as Barão de Cotegipe and Água Doce.
