Variational formulation of higher-order guiding-center Vlasov–Maxwell theory

Abstract: Extended guiding-center Vlasov–Maxwell equations are derived under the assumption of time-dependent and inhomogeneous electric and magnetic fields that obey the standard guiding-center space-timescale orderings.
