In regards to the life of Hindus, they are guided by Tri Hita Karana, a concept that emphasizes three human relationships in life in this world. Human relationship with God (Parahyangan), human relationship with others (Pawongan) and human relations with nature (Palemahan). In social life with fellow applied concepts, namely pawongan. This study aims to see how much the concept of Pawongan in Tri Hita Karana is applied by young people who, along with the development, always follow the changes in existing technology. The sample of this research is students taking lectures at STMIK STIKOM Indonesia with the method used namely descriptive analysis that processes the data that has been obtained to get results. The results obtained from this study are sure that there are still quite a lot of students who have not fully applied the concept of Pawongan in socializing with fellow humans, which can be seen from hoax news dissemination and how to respond to a news they have received.

Indonesia, especially East Java Province, has diverse and iconic cultural customs that must be preserved by any stakeholder including but not limited to the locals. One of the customs is the practice of bridewealth and dowry. Dowry in East Java Province is distinctive from those from other regions and shows some changes and advancements on the shapes and goods included depending on the local wisdom values applied within the society. Such practice might also be a source of inspiration to promote and preserve local wisdom values. This qualitative study aims to reveal the local wisdom values in several forms of dowry in East Java Province, especially in horseshoe areas. Data were collected using interview, observation, and documentation. Results conveyed data in accordance with dowry shapes, functions and significances along with the local wisdom values in the East Java horse shoe area

AbstrakSebagai bangsa yang multikultur, Indonesia mempunyai potensi perpecahan dan konflik etnik yang cukup besar jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai multikultural dalam sastra Indonesia sebagai bahan pembelajaran apresiasi sastra di SMA, yang dapat menjadi pemantik bagi terbentuknya karakter multikultur. Lewat apresiasi sastra diyakini penanaman karakter tepat sasaran (efektif) karena sastra bersentuhan dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan teknik simak catat. Data diambil dari empat karya sastra Indonesia, yakni satu cerpen terpilih dan tiga novel. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan struktural-semiotik. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerpen "Seribu Kunang-kunang di Manhattan", karya Umar Kayam, novel "Salah Asuhan" karya Abdul Moeis, dan novel "Namaku Hiroko" karya Nh Dini, mengandung nilai-nilai kesederajatan (egalitarian), keberagaman, dan karakter multikulturalis yang baik pada tokoh utamanya, layak dijadikan bahan ajar apresiasi sastra di tingkat SMA.Kata kunci: multikultural, bahan ajar, apresiasi sastra AbstractAs a multicultural nation, Indonesia has considerable potential for disunity and ethnic conflicts if the various differences are not managed well. This paper describes multicultural values in Indonesian literature as teaching and learning materials for literary appreciation in high school, which can be a trigger for the formation of multicultural characters. Through literary appreciation it is believed that character inculcation is right on target (effective) because literature is in touch with human values. The method used was descriptive with the note taking technique. Data were taken from four Indonesian literary works, namely one selected short story and three novels. Data were analyzed by a structuralsemiotic approach. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the short story "Seribu Kunang-kunang di Manhattan" by Umar Kayam, the novel "Salah Asuhan" by Abdul Moeis, and the novel "Namaku Hiroko" by Nh Dini contain the values of equality (egalitarian), diversity, and multicultural characters that are good for the main character, are worthy of being used as literary appreciation teaching materials at the high school level.
