Viscosity of liquid water from 25 to 150.degree. measurements in pressurized glass capillary viscometer

Abstract: mental results. Unfortunately, there is little information about the kinetics of such a reaction.Neither a pair of complexing agents nor one precipitant is superior throughout the rare earth series. One or more selective processes are operating. Somehow one rare earth cation is preferentially released in solution while the other tends to remain complexed. How this selectivity is achieved has not been deduced.

“…For subregion 3, the liquid region with temperatures to 573 K and pressures to 100 MPa, with an estimated uncertainty of 1%, we considered the data from 41 sources 31,[47][48][49][50][51][52]54,64,65,67,70,71,73,75,78,81,82,85,86,88,89,92,[94][95][96][97][98][99][100][101][104][105][106][107][108][109][110][111][112][113] with estimated uncertainties of less than 1%. The set comprised 1419 points with a standard deviation of 0.38%.…”

“…1,2 From a practical point of view, the importance of the viscosity of water to biology 3 and the environment, 4 to engineering and reactor technology, 5 to other technologies, 6 and as a reference material in viscometry, [7][8][9] has been discussed widely in past work. This importance is further evidenced by the continuing activity, since the time of Bingham,7 for whom a viscometer was named, in the measurement, refinement and analysis by national and international organizations of the viscosity data for ordinary and heavy water.…”

“…The older measurements of Hardy and Oottington [7] cover the range from 5° to 125 °0, and were performed in a Bingham viscometer up to 95 °0 and a Rankine viscometer above this temperature. The more recent measurements by Korosi and Fabuss [8] were performed in a Rankine viscometer over the temperature range 40° to 150 °0.…”
