Human anatomy is an area of knowledge that aims to study the human body. Normally the systems studied in this field of research are skeletal, muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, tegumentary, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine and reproductive. This work is descriptive in nature, a bibliographic survey, with the purpose of describing the importance of knowledge of the human body at all levels of basic education. The teaching of the human body in basic education is an educational necessity; with this study it is possible to provide teaching anatomical, good habits, prevention of possible diseases and several benefits. In child education it is fundamental to know the body and the corporal safety. In the initial series, body recognition is necessary. In elementary school, it is fundamental to take knowledge about the human body, aspects, self-esteem, posture, respect for others, quality of life and even the sexual choice of individuals. In high school the main goal is the selfknowledge of students for adult life, at this stage it is important to work in more detail the human body and emphasize the evil of drugs. Bringing this knowledge to schools provides a great personal development for each student, making them aware of how impressive the human body is, respecting, knowing its limits, seeking a healthy life and free from possible diseases.
