“… 2 , 7 , 8 , 10 , 11 , 15 Others have compared the images obtained in panoramic radiographs and tomographies evaluating biomaterials, proximity of the third molar to the lower alveolar nerve and external root resorption. 3 , 6 , 18 , 20 , 22 The results confirm that cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has better image quality, better measurement accuracy, less distortion and, mainly, allows the visualization of the region of interest (ROI) without overlapping other structures. 1 , 6 , 16 , 17 - 20 , 25 …”

“…So, the objective of this study was to evaluate the alveolar bone thickness in hyperdivergent and hypodivergent facial patterns as compared to normal growth pattern individuals at different heights in maxillary anterior region as a safe zone for placement for mini-screws implants using 3D Volumetric Tomography. “…In addition to the standard panoramic projection described earlier, most panoramic machines also offer special projection techniques for distinct anatomical targets, for instance, the TMJs, the sinuses, and transverse 'cuts' (or views) of portion of the jaw, often based upon limited and modified 'narrow beam rotational radiography' or on tomosynthesis (Cederlund et al, 2009;McDavid et al, 1990;Welander et al, 2004).…”
