In dieser Arbeit wird über die Synthese von Benzol‐bis‐dipyridyl‐chrom‐jodid und Diphenyl‐bis‐dipyridyl‐chrom‐jodid berichtet, die eine neue Klasse von π‐Komplexen vertreten, in welchen das Metallatom von vier Stickstoffliganden, wahrscheinlich in quadratischplaner Anordnung, und einem π‐gebundenen Aromaten umgeben ist. Besonders für die Chemie von natürlich vorkommenden Verbindungen, wie Metallporphyrinen, Cytochromen, Vitam B12 u. a., kann die Entdeckung der Bildung einer π‐Bindung zwischen einem aromatischen Ring und einem Metall mit vier Stickstoffliganden von Bedeutung sein.
