Warped supersymmetric unification with a nonunified superparticle spectrum

Abstract: We present a new supersymmetric extension of the standard model. The model is constructed in warped space, with a unified bulk symmetry broken by boundary conditions on both the Planck and TeV branes. In the supersymmetric limit, the massless spectrum contains exotic colored particles along with the particle content of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Nevertheless, the model still reproduces the MSSM prediction for gauge coupling unification and does not suffer from a proton decay problem. The… Show more

“…Orbifold GUT models for SU (5) were proposed in [9,10,11] and widely studied thereafter in [12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20]. The embedding of the supersymmetric GUT group into the Randall-Sundrum (RS) model [21] with a warped extra dimension is especially interesting since it has a four-dimensional (4D) conformal field theory (CFT) interpretation [22,23]. By assigning different symmetry breaking boundary conditions to the two fixed point, the five-dimensional (5D) theory is interpreted to be the dual of a 4D technicolor-like theory or a composite gauge symmetry model.…”

“…Examples abound in the literature, including universal extra dimensions [14][15][16][17] that can mimic many features of SUSY models; unusual spectra, such as charged lightest KK-odd modes [18,19], are also possible and may be a strongly interacting state. More exotic models have also been proposed that would include (meta-)stable colored particles: KK-towers of X and Y grand unified gauge bosons in warped extra-dimensions with GUT-parity [20][21][22][23], longlived leptoquarks [24], 4 th generation quarks [25,26], mirror fermions [27,28], perhaps in vector-like generations [29,30], or related to symmetries stabilizing the dark sector [31]. For a larger list of possible models and particle candidates, see ref.…”
