“…The obtained linear rate is found between −1.7 and −3.4 ± 0.1 mm/yr, with a minimum in the southern part of the delta (CODI) and a maximum in the central one (TGPO, PTO1). Moreover, the geodetic velocities calculated at the TGPO (−3.4 ± 0.1 mm/yr) and PTO1 (−3.3 ± 0.1 mm/yr) stations are quite similar in the analyzed 4-year period, while PTO1 shows higher rates compared to TGPO during different data time spans [48,49]. Finally, the linear rates calculated on the CODI station, which are characterized by the longest data time span (available from January 2009), change in relation with the analyzed time interval (Table 2), thus indicating the occurrence of non-uniform processes controlling the ground motion.…”

“…In principle, the swelling might be able to contrast and delay the up-and down-lift of the ground induced by the surface loading process. These interactions have been already unveiled around CODI CGPS site [54,69] and at TGPO and PTO1 CGPS stations, near the main Po River course [49].…”

“…New accommodation was continuously generated under relatively stable eustatic levels by: (i) tectonic subsidence, due to the flexure of the Adriatic plate beneath the Tyrrhenian plate (Carminati & Di Donato, ); augmented by (ii) sediment compaction (Teatini et al ., ). Modern subsidence rates for the Po Delta area are in the range of 3 to 4 mm year −1 , with substantially different values laterally as a function of subsurface lithology (Bruno et al ., 2017a; Vitagliano et al ., ). Sediment supply rates were likely influenced by changing climatic and land use conditions: flood activity in the southern Alps increased between 6 to 5 kyr bp and 3·4 to 2·4 kyr bp , northern European climate changed from Atlantic to Sub‐Boreal ( ca 5·2 kyr bp ) to Sub‐Atlantic ( ca 2·8 kyr bp ), and glaciers advanced and retreated globally and in the Alpine realm throughout this period (Table ; Mangerud et al ., ; Hormes et al ., ; Wirth et al ., ).…”

“…Wavelet analysis is mainly used in signal denoising and information feature extraction. In recent years, wavelet analysis has been widely applied in the fields of photogrammetry and remote sensing, deformation observation data analysis, and seismic signal analysis, and satisfactory results have been obtained [14]. It is necessary to understand the spatial distribution characteristics of surface building load and land subsidence when using wavelet multistage decomposition.…”
