Wear issues of pumping units

Abstract: The article presents the possibility of increasing the service life of pumping units. Particular attention is paid to the regulation of the speed of rotation of the pumping unit. There are some assumptions in the mathematical model that do not affect the final result. The factors influencing the operating mode are given. It is indicated that the speed of rotation of the pump shaft significantly affects the wear resistance of the pump blades. Thus, the regulation of the pump rotation speed will rationally incre… Show more

“…The experiments were carried out at pump flows from 0.5ܳ ௫ to 1.25 ܳ ௫ with various materials and polymer coatings, which were applied to the surfaces of the blades made of steel -St. No.3. [8][9][10][11][12]. The procedure for applying a polymer coating to metal surfaces was as follows: ED-6 epoxy resin was applied to the surface of the blades with various fillers.…”

“…Considering also that the relative velocities of the suspension-carrying flow in the inter-blade channel and the slot gap are different, it can be reasonably argued that the wear of the end part occurs according to a different pattern than for the rest of the blade surface [8][9][10][11][12][13].…”

“…As is known, more than 10,000 pumping stations and 16,000 wells operate in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Solar pumping is integrated into a solar irrigation system designed to specific local needs in order to compensate for this divergence [9,10]. The challenge for both designers and operators of solar irrigation systems is to harmonize the non-constant solar energy and the constant irrigation requirements.…”
