Wenn die Depression chronisch verläuft

Abstract: Der Begriff „depressive Episode“ suggeriert, dass eine Depression von selbst oder zumindest durch wirkungsvolle Therapie in absehbarer Zeit wieder vorbei geht. In der Mehrzahl der Fälle ist das auch so. Bei mehr als einem Fünftel besteht jedoch die Gefahr eines chronischen, therapieresistenten Verlaufs. In Deutschland betrifft dies mehr als eine Million Menschen. Hier ist die Rehabilitation ein wesentliches Element des Behandlungsplans.
