Wet purification of air from dust in innovative irrigated nozzle of regular structure for ventilation of cabins of wheeled and tracked vehicles

Abstract: It was studied the mechanism of wet purification of air from dust in innovative irrigated nozzle of regular structure made from porous plastic plates and equipped with triangular protrusions in airducts that are located across the stream for artificial turbulence. Functional link between the effi- ciency of air purification from dust and reduction of temperature in adiabatic humidification was drawn out.

“…Since water is supplied to the Venturi scrubber for irrigation under high pressure, which is about 0.25 MPa [8], the electric pump must consume at least 0.4 kW. Consequently, the power costs of the Venturi scrubber in total will be Nv = 3.7 kW.…”

“…The most attractive due to a certain simplicity is the supply of water to the internal combustion engine cylinders, as a result of which the air-fuel mixture is moistened. At the same time, water affects the chemical reaction of fuel combustion with the dissociation of water vapor into hydrogen and oxygen, as well as hydrogen and hydroxyl radical due to the high temperature during the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels [4]:…”
