The utilisation of community radio as an effective medium can be of tremendous assistance in the dissemination of information and the cultivation of consciousness within communities.The purpose of this experimental and cross-sectional research was to learn more about the ways in which listening to community radio can help its listeners grow as individuals and become more conscious. This investigation gathered both quantitative and qualitative data through the use of a mixed-methods approach from a population that was intended to be representative of Indian community radio listeners and listeners. According to the findings, community radio may be a significant component in increasing people's awareness of topics relating to public health, education, and societal issues. In addition, community radio serves as a forum for participation in the surrounding area, which can facilitate the expansion process and contribute to the establishment of authority. According to the findings of the research, community radio should have more financial resources, its technological underpinning should be upgraded, and more local participation should be encouraged in radio broadcasting. The findings of the research, taken together, offer significant new insights into the ways in which community radio helps to foster consciousness and development. These findings from the research have implications for improving the effectiveness of community radio programmes in India and other underdeveloped countries.

The Participatory Action Research (PAR) Model is not only referred to as a research method but is also referred to as an approach to community empowerment and development, including community-based tourism development. This paper describes the stages of empowerment and development of a tourist village in Indonesia using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of observing, mapping, reviewing, making program diagram maps, and re-planning the development of tourist villages. The data obtained through the PAR approach were analyzed using the Nvivo 12 Plus Software. This paper reveals that Ngadas Village has tourism potential, including nature tourism and socio-cultural tourism. The tourism potential of Ngadas Village has not been managed and developed properly due to the limitations of village facilities and infrastructure that support the presence of Ngadas Village as a tourist village. The participatory integrative model is a model that can be implemented to develop Ngadas Village as an agriculture-based tourism village. Through this model, stakeholders, especially the village government, local government, universities, and local communities, can synergize and play a role according to their respective abilities, which are directed to realize the same goal, namely to build Ngadas Village as a tourist village as a source of opinion that supports community welfare. The findings of this study contribute to the development of local tourism in developing countries, especially in Indonesia.

In this paper, we explore women's use of ICTs in urban Afghanistan in the period between 2015 and 2022 to examine the changing gender dynamics of ICT access and usage in the context of expanding opportunities for women's education and employment (2015–2020) and different forms of crises, including the COVID19 pandemic (2020–2021) and political takeover by the fundamentalist and violent Taliban regime (2021–2022). Drawing on feminist theorization of empowerment and using a mixed methods study of 817 questionnaires (2015) and observation data (2015–2022) allows us to make visible the contingent and unintended dynamics of the relationship between women's empowerment and ICTs, especially in conflict zones. These findings contribute to ongoing debates on gender, empowerment and ICTs by emphasizing the multifaceted nature of technology adoption and usage, the significance of education in overcoming barriers, and the evolving role of ICTs, especially for women, in the face of radical political changes and crises.
