Worth the wait: The impact of government funding on hospital emergency waiting times

Abstract: Highlights Healthcare systems internationally have experienced rising waiting times for emergency treatment. Greater grant funding is an effective way to address this issue. However, this may result in increased presentations to emergency departments. Consequently, demand for emergency treatment must also be targeted.
