X‐ and H‐Shape Two Dimensional Conjugated Oligomers with Anthracene as the Node

Abstract: X- and H-shape two-dimensional (2D) conjugated oligomers (X- and H-mers) and relevant model compounds have been synthesized through the introduction of different conjugated segments at the 9,10 and 2,6-positions of anthracene, and their properties were studied in detail. Comparing with the model compounds, the X- and H-mers are featured with broader absorption spectra and narrower energy bandgaps. Computational studies on the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital… Show more

“…With the speculation that the substitution of St by a monomer with a similar structure to 1 should result in a copolymer with harmonic chiral amplification as in poly(isocyanate)s, the random copolymerization of 1 and 3 was carried out (Scheme 1). [38] As indicated in Figure 14, the absolute α [ ] 365 20 value of the copolymer increases linearly with increasing chiral monomer content. Figure 14 also reveals the CD spectra of the copolymers in THF at 25°C.…”

“…GO was synthesized by oxidation of natural graphite powders according to a modified Hummers method. [33] GO powder (100 mg) was suspended into 250 ml of ethanol-ethylene glycol (49:1 v/v) under stirring. After 60 min, a mixture of NiCl 2 Á6H 2 O (1.9 mmol) and Fe(NO 3 ) 3 Á6H 2 O (3.8 mmol) was added.…”

“…The interlayer increase should be attribute to the fact that the [Bmim] cation was introduced into the interlayer spaces of the rectorite and pushed the sheets apart after the cation exchange with Na + . 30 Fig. 1b shows the wide-angle XRD patterns of the samples.…”
