Xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity of Arcangelisia flava

Abstract: Background: Uric acid is generated from xanthine and hypoxanthine through the action of xanthine oxidase. Yellow wood contains flavonoids that inhibit xanthine oxidase activity. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of ethanol extracts of the leaves and stems of yellow wood in inhibiting xanthine oxidase.
