Abstract: Glucocorticoids (GC) are potent anti-inflammatory agents and widely used for the treatment of many immune-mediated and inflammatory diseases, whereas GC-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) is the most common cause of secondary osteoporosis and significantly increases the patients' morbidity and mortality.
