Z-map based cutting force prediction for elliptical ultrasonic vibration-assisted milling process

Abstract: Elliptical ultrasonic vibration-assisted milling (EUVAM) adds high-frequency vibration to conventional milling (CM) to realize high-frequency intermittent milling. It has broad application prospects in the processing of difficultto-cut materials such as titanium alloys, superalloys and hard and brittle materials. To reveal the mechanism of the highly intermittent cutting nature in EUVAM, according to the motion relationship between cutting edge and workpiece and the Z-map model of the workpiece, a method and i… Show more

“…The results of benchmarking tests can be used to compare these three scanning techniques and confirm what happened in the experiment with what was written in the literature [5]. Furthermore, even if not run with high specification computer and bandwidth for large-scale Internet scanning, the Zmap and Masscan applications are consistently fast scanning [25], [26]. According to de Santis [12] research, network scanning applications have high accuracy.…”

“…In Zmap and Masscan, unable to perform multi-port scanning on only one IP address. In addition, Zmap and Masscan do not provide a command line that can detect port vulnerabilities by identifying services, versions, and operating systems or firewalls [25], [26].…”

“…For the milling bevel, the milling bevel of the ball-end milling cutter can also be converted into a milling plane by coordinate transformation, and based on the micro-element discrete method, three conditions are proposed to judge whether any point on the cutting edge meshes with the workpiece, it can greatly improve the solution efficiency [18]. Z-map is a typical discrete method for micro-elements, which describes an object is approximated as a set of z-axis aligned vectors, called Z-map vectors, passing through the grid points on the xy-plane, this representation can be effectively used for the surface that is always visible from above in the direction parallel to the z-axes [19]. The Z-map method can be used to analyze the interference situation of the ball-end milling cutter under different milling attitudes, and the interference area can be obtained by comparing the Z-map data of the tool and the workpiece [20,21].…”
