“…Due to the small size of deposited nanoparticles on the carbon filter, the best catalytic test for electrochemical reduction/oxidation can be performed for hydrogen evolution in an acidic medium. In previous studies published by Wojnicki et al, it was reported that the size of nanoparticles plays a critical role in the electrochemical activity due to the difference between the nanoparticle diameter and the size of oxidized/reduced organic species.
