Abstract: Die T h e o r i e von v a n ' t H o f f und L e B e 1 enthalt zwei Satze, welche auseinander zu halten sind. D e r erste giebt an, dass die Valenzrichtungen des Kohlenstoffatoms nicht in einer, sondern paarweise in zwei sich schneidenden Ebenen vertheilt sind, wie ea ihre tetra-6drische Gruppirung verlangt.
