The legal civil, commercial and criminal matters treaty in legal assistance between the Turkey and the Russia signed in 1997 was abolished in 2002. In 2014, a mutual legal assistance and extradition agreement was signed in criminal matters and entered into force in 2017. However, this agreement does not contain any provisions regarding the recognition or enforcement of judicial decisions. Although these developments are an indication of positive steps in the field of law in general, they should not be considered sufficient. It will be in accordance with the interests of countries to do similar works in legal and commercial fields and to recognize and enforce the decisions of the courts in both countries. For this, it is necessary to examine the independence, objectivity of the courts of the aforementioned countries and the legal reliability of court decisions.
