There was a growing evidence that self-compassion plays an important predictor of wellbeing. The current study aims to examine the link between self-compassion and subjective well-being (SWB) with culture as a moderator variable. The respondents of this study were students (N = 1161, 354 male and 807 female) from three main tribes in Sulawesi, Indonesia, namely Bugis (n = 379), Makassar (n = 570) and Mandar (n = 212). This research uses the subjective well being scale (Cronbach's α 0.839) as well as the Positive and Negative affect scale expanded form (PANAS-X) (Cronbach's α 0.742 and 0.859). This study replicates previous research, self-compassion were associated with SWB. However, these finding was consistent only for Bugis and Makassar respondents. Additionally, for Bugis and Mandar participants, self-compassion has a positive and significant correlation with cognitive SWB, while self-compassion for Makassar participants has a positive and significant correlation with emotional SWB. Lastly, there were differences in SWB between Bugis, Makassar and Mandar. Cognitive SWB is higher in Makassar respodents than Bugis and Mandar, while Bugis is higher in emotion SWB than others. This study has implications on further research to find out what factors cause SWB to differ in tribes in Sulawesi.
Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi warga belajar melalui media audio-visual. Pengabdian memaparkan mengenai peran media audio-visual dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, tidak kaku, dan tidak membosankan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu 1) persiapan, berupa pengurusan izin dan penentuan waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan; 2) pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau penyuluhan. Dengan susunan kegiatan. a) Sambutan sekaligus pembukaan oleh anggota penguluhan yang bertindak sebagai moderator. b) Pemaparan materi. Materi mengenai media audio-visual dipaparkan oleh narasumber, tanya jawab dengan peserta, dan simulasi kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media audio-visual berupa pembelajaran keaksaraan menggunakan lagu aksara. c) Penutup. Narasumber kemudian memberikan arahan, pesan-pesan, motivasi, dan harapan kepada peserta penyuluhan untuk terus belajar, dan tidak cepat merasa puas dengan apa yang telah dipelajari selama ini. 3) Evaluasi. Evaluasi dilihat dari ketercapaian kegiatan penyuluhan. Indikatornya, warga belajar menjadi termotivasi untuk ikut dalam program pendidikan. Selain itu, peserta terlihat nyaman, senang, dan tidak bosan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran.
This study aims to examine in more depth how women's empowerment based on non-formal education in the development of batik skills in LKP -At – Tiqna. The approach to this research uses qualitative research. The method of data collection uses the method of interview, observation, study of documents. Data analysis is carried out using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity techniques use source trangulation and triangulation techniques. The results of this research related to women's empowerment based on non-formal education are that there are several processes starting from awareness to increase women's interest in being involved in empowerment programs. The awareness process is carried out by identifying the needs to formulate needs that are used as a basis for program decision making. Next is mendorngong and invite women to participate in the program by socializing the program to the wider community. The knowledge transformation process is carried out with training as an effort to provide knowledge and skills for women that are adapted to women's conditions and carried out by material delivery methods and practices. Furthermore, assistance to increase women's independence in batik development.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat proses pemberdayaan yang dilakukan pada PKBM Tiara Dezzy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini, yaitu: Pertama. Tahap penyadaran tidak dilakukan oleh pihak PKBM Tiara Dezzy. Penyelenggara PKBM langsung mendata dan memanggil masyarakat untuk bergabung dan mengikuti program pemberdayaan. Kedua. Tahap transformasi pengetahuan, materi/bahan pembelajaran tidak semuanya bersifat potensi lokal. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran atau pelatihan bersifat partisipatif sehingga masyarakat turut aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan jadwal pembelajaran ditentukan sendiri oleh warga belajar. Ketiga. Tahap peningkatan pengetahuan untuk kemandirian masyarakat, warga belajar belum mandiri. Akan tetapi, terjadi perbaikan pendidikan dan perbaikan tindakan. PKBM Tiara Dezzy belum melakukan pemberdayaan secara tuntas karena hanya melakukan tahap transformasi pengetahuan. Penyelenggara PKBM memaknai pemberdayaan masyarakat sama dengan pengembangan kapasitas, padahal tidak demikian karena pengembangan kapasitas hanya bagian dari proses pemberdayaan masyarakat. Community Empowerment through Non-Formal Education in Tiara Dezzy Community Learning Center Samarinda Abstract: This study aims to see the empowerment process carried out at CLC Tiara Dezzy. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study, namely: First. The awareness stage was not carried out by CLC Tiara Dezzy. CLC organizers immediately record and call the community to join and participate in the empowerment program. Second. The transformation stage of knowledge, learning materials/materials are not all local potential. The implementation of learning or training is participatory so that the community is actively involved in learning, and the learning schedule is determined by the learning residents themselves. Third. The stage of increasing knowledge for community independence, learning residents are not yet independent. However, there has been improvement in education and improvement in action. CLC Tiara Dezzy has not done empowerment completely because it only performs the knowledge transformation stage. CLC organizers interpret community empowerment as the same as capacity building, even though this is not the case because capacity building is only part of the community empowerment process.
Permasalahan yang terjadi pada pelaksanaan pendidikan adalah adanya kasus anak putus sekolah. Anak putus sekolah disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor penyebab yang melatarbelakangi anak putus sekolah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam apa yang menjadi penyebab kasus putus sekolah. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif karena untuk sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu akan mengkaji lebih dalam penyebab kasus putus sekolah. Jenis penelitian dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian studi deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkkan bahwa penyebab putus sekolah warga warga belajar di PKBM Kedondong terbagi menjadi 2 faktor, yaitu faktor internal dengan sub-faktor yaitu rendahnya minat belajar anak, dan faktor ekternal dengan sub-faktor yaitu faktor ekonomi, sistem kebijakan yang digunakan sekolah, adanya pendidikan lembaga keagamaan yang tidak menerapkan pendidikan formal, dan faktor sosial seperti adanya kasus bullying.
