The article analyses the opinion of technologists in processing enterprises of the Stavropol Territory on the importance of social responsibility and professional competence of workers and how this is reflected in the actual competence profile of the Federal State Educational Standard for graduates of higher education programs. In the quality management system for training future process technologists, the analysis of actual required competencies in the production processes versus to needed competencies of the staff, is a determining factor to be able to update the content of educational programs. The level of professional competence is characterized by different aspects in the business and personal qualities of the specialist: it is reflected in the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to achieve the goal in a particular type of professional activity, as well as the moral position of the specialist. These aspects together are reflected in the social responsibility of a process technologist in processing enterprises and ensuring the quality and safety of food products. The opinion of the professional community confirms this viewpoint.
This study investigates the phenomenon of social myth as a factor of forming and transforming the consciousness of social actors. It is defined that one of the factors of appealing to mythological representation of reality is the crisis of scientific orientations of modernism. In this plane, the article studies phenomenological receptions of myth as well as the process of mythologization of modern social reality. Moreover, attention is drawn to the fact that mythologization fixes an idea of social reality and its axiological (value) dimension in the consciousness of separate individuals and their groups. Myths are axiological indicators; the more controversial society values are the greater number of myths is produced by social consciousness to eliminate these contradictions. The difference between modern and archaic myth has both qualitative and quantitative aspects. Modern society generates a great number of myths with much more narrow content. This is a consequence of "specialization" of myths, their orientation towards solving particular local tasks: political, economic, etc. Functional and structural changes of social myths can be accounted for by critical, permanently transitional condition of society in which myth compensates the unformed elements of new social practices. However, the content side of myth is not a crisis but social request and values of particular culture. The question about the necessity to fight against myths probably should be answered negatively if we don't mean the most dangerous myths posing a serious threat for society. Myths are in harmony with social consciousness and arise in places where there is a fault between current and desirable normativity. Thus, when social practices become stable social consciousness itself displaces and nullifies myths that are responsible for harmonization of new order and they become demanded.
The article analyzes theoretical approaches to the modern understanding of the category of “social position” regarding the agricultural establishment and its role in the period of qualitative transformations of the agricultural sector. Studying the publications of the world scientific community allows highlighting a number of areas of discussion about the social position of the professional establishment; it is also relevant for the agricultural sector. On the basis of empirical data from a well-developed agrarian region in the south of Russia we studied the opinions of representatives of the professional agrarian establishment (specialists from successful agricultural enterprises and future specialists – students). It has been established that leading specialists of agricultural enterprises occupy a high social status both in the production team and in the local community. Future specialists (with higher professional agricultural education) associate their expectations with a high social status in the professional and local community. Thus they claim all the attributes associated with a high status: a high salary, a real estate ownership, an intellectual labor lifestyle, and leadership in the production team and the local community.
The article presents the results of a study of the value orientations of specialists with higher education working in the region and representing such professional communities as IT specialists, mechanical engineers, food technologists, veterinarians and financial economists. The analysis of the influence of value orientations on attitudes to corporate social responsibility and within the boundaries of the professional community has been carried out.Corporate social responsibility is considered as an indicator of the overall image of the organization and an integral part of the corporate culture, which cannot be fully realized in practice, if not shared by members of workers, production teams, formal and, as a rule, informal leaders of which are specialists with higher education.At the level of statistical observations the professional community's understanding of the importance of professional social responsibility with localization within specific enterprises and a high status value is "own safety and the safety of others" and "wellbeing of loved ones" in the system of value orientations of professional communities of the region was obtained.The professional community of specialists describes at the level of competencies the high significance of various types of social and professional responsibility; accordingly, they are determined by their own professional activity and responsibility.
