The phenomenon of photoelectron emission from solutions of easily ionized emitters to the gas Results are ccnipared with experiment to establish the energy phase is theoretically treated. characteristics of electrons in polar solvents.
The theory of the temperature shift in the absorption spectrum of a solvated electron is discussed. The theory is based on the concept of the interaction of an electron bound in a zero-range potential with long-wavelength classical vibrations of the medium. The theory is compared with data for the absorption spectra of es-in methyl alcohol measured over a wide range of temperatures. Satisfactory quantitative agreement has been found. 10 1 1
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
