The business environment is transforming from product-centric to customer-centric. CRM as a customer-oriented business approach is considered as one of the powerful capabilities in organizations which help them to transform themselves to a customer-centric environment. The objective of the studies to configure the constructs of customer knowledge and CRM performance among 201 ICT companies in Malaysia. This study also examines the influence of customer knowledge as exogenous variable on CRM performance as endogenous variable as hypothesized. Using structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis method, the results confirmed knowledge for customer, knowledge from customer and knowledge about customer as constructs of customer knowledge. Financial, customer, internal process and innovation perspective also confirmed as constructs of CRM performance. The fundamental contribution of this study is determination of the significant interaction effect between customer knowledge and CRM performance constructs in the re-specified model of structural equation modeling (SEM). The utilization of CRM is directly related with increase in customer knowledge, which in turn has positive effect on customer satisfaction. By using knowledge management companies can improve their relationship with their valuable customers to create loyal customers and obtain competitive advantage.
The main objective of this study is to examine strategic alignment and implementation perspective of manufacturing based of SMEs in Nigeria. The study established the strategic match between firm's growth strategy, competitive strategy, and performance. Specifically, this paper aims to investigate the effects of market penetration strategy, market development strategy and cost leadership strategy on performance. Hence, this study employed cross-sectional survey design; SPSS and PLS-SEM were used for preliminaries and hypothesis testing. 277 usable questionnaires were collected from owners-managers of manufacturing based of SMEs. The findings of this study indicate that market penetration strategy and market development strategy significantly influence the firm performance of manufacturing based SMEs in Nigeria. Also, the result shows that market penetration and market development strategy have a significant impact on cost leadership strategy, which enhances firm's competitiveness and competitive advantage. However, the result of mediating role of cost leadership strategy was established. The findings suggest that cost leadership strategy exert the relationship of market penetration & market development strategy and performance alignment. Therefore, owners-managers of manufacturing based of SMEs possibly make decisions considering their strategic orientation perspective collectively to integrate growth strategies and competitive strategy to sustain competitive advantage, improve competency and achieve superior performance.
Women entrepreneurs has contribute important roles of business, includes the ICT-related business in Malaysia. Nowadays, women entrepreneurs are an integral part of ICT business which involved in Hand phone Shop, Computer Accessories, Cyber Cafe, Internet Shop, ICT-based Training, Photography Shop, Hardware Suppliers, Kiosk, and many more. Although women entrepreneurs are highlighted as have significance contribution toward the nation, however, research regarding the demographic characteristics of women entrepreneurs is still less. Common issues analyzed in the previous literature include gender and personal characteristics such as education, experience, age, marital status, and so on. This research developed a demographic profile revealing characteristics of the Malaysian women entrepreneur. This study was conducted among 150 women entrepreneurs in Malaysia that were listed in USAHANITA's online directory which who are focused on conduct ICT-based business. This analysis highlights the complexity of demographic issues among Malaysia women entrepreneurs. The suggestions of this study are briefly formulated to make the women entrepreneurs more competitive in the current environment of business marketplace.
This study aims to examine the impact of transformational leadership style on crisis management and to examine the moderating effect of manager's crisis experience on the relationship between transformational leadership style and crisis management in Yemen organizations. Data was collected from 239 large private organizations in Yemen, through the self-administered questionnaire procedure. Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed in the data analysis. The result indicates that transformational leadership style has a significant positive influence on crisis management. The result also reveals that the manager's crisis experience moderate the relationship between the transformational leadership style and crisis management. In practical terms, the results of the current study offer several implications for managers regarding the importance role of the factors enhancing crisis management in Yemen organizations. Moreover, leader with a prior crisis experience is more capable to handle the crisis situation. The limitation of the current study and the recommendation for the future study are highlighted.
This article offers a new strategy of holistic rural development by utilizing the external strengths of the rural and the internal strength based on the experience of one of the rural in Indonesia that has been succeeded in turning the rural from the poorest into the best in the national rank. The successful formula is associated with the role of village leaders in benefiting opportunities from the existing external-internal aspects. To capture more holistic development phenomena including political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal phenomena while generating new bottom-up strategies, the study uses PESTEL and SOAR analysis. This study found that the first condition for rural development in Indonesia is the development of village leadership management strength in holistically managing the potential and opportunities of external and internal villages. It changes the fundamental paradigm that holistic rural development must be seen as a whole (the village can take advantage of the existing external-internal strengths) partially (the village only focuses on utilizing the village's internal strength utilization agricultural potential). Through the PESTELs-SOAR analysis approach, the strategy offered becomes more rational and comprehensive in sustainable rural development by collaborating the village bottom-up strategy approach while still considering prevailing external conditions (more top-down).
