Dental auto transplantation is defined as the movement of one tooth or dental germ from one position to another, within the same person. Tooth reimplantation and transplantation have a long and difficult history, since both procedures have been carried out for centuries, but failed due to healing complications. This article provides an overview concept of auto transplantation and considerations for clinical success.

Missing maxillary lateral incisors create an esthetic problem with specific orthodontic and prosthetic considerations. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the clinical success of the transmucosal flapless implant placement and immediate loading of the implants to restore the agenic lateral incisors after completing the orthodontic treatment and during the retention period.
