The research aims to describe and explain the: 1. local wisdom In the culture of Maluku people as the power of social integration and brotherhood in the multicultural context of Maluku people. 2. The values of multicultural education in culture Pela, Gandong, Famili, Badati, Masohi, Ma’anu. This research uses a qualitative deskrptive method with a content analysis technique (content analysis, Through two steps of procedure, namely: First. Procurement or data collection of multicultural education values in the local wisdom of the Maluku people. Second. Data validation using semantic validation patterns to measure the solitude and depth of symbolic meanings associated with the context of multicultural values in the local wisdom of the Maluku community. The results of this study showed Local wisdom forms that contain the value of fraternity and become the power of social integration, inter-siwalima The Monodualistic Cultural roots, then culture pela, gandong, famili, And each other culture and cooperation such as culture badati, masohi, ma’anu. The values of the Muliticular education in the forms of the wisdom of life between Values understand each other's differences, Respect each other, Love one another, protect each other, sustain one another, and support each other, As the fact or reflection of Multikulturl education, respect for others and respect for self.
On Saparua Island in the Moluccas, Indonesia, local tradition guides the interreligious community of Muslims and Christians. Issues relating to people's races, religions, and ethnic backgrounds frequently spark conflict in the community. At the moment, it is working on maintaining and advancing peace. This article presents an investigation into the factors that contribute to religious harmony in communities comprised of members of different faiths. This research was conducted on Saparua Island through observation and interviews with community figures and members of the religious, academic, youth, and female communities. It was hypothesized, and subsequent research confirmed, that the community adheres to the principles of peace and the way of life espoused by the "Basudara People" in Ale Rasa Beta Rasa, Sagu Salempeng Patah Dua, and Sei Leli Hatulo-Hatuli Eleli Esepei. Peace in the cross-religious community can be achieved through the practice of local traditions like Pela Gandong and Masohi, which are forms of community cooperation. As a consequence of this, the result demonstrates the significance of having dialogues between people of different religious and cultural backgrounds to keep and maintain the viability of interreligious peace. Tradisi lokal di Pulau Saparua, Maluku, Indonesia menjadi panduan moral (norma) bagi kehidupan komunitas lintas agama (Muslim-Kristiani) yang pernah terjadi konflik dipicu isu Suku, Agama, Ras dan saat ini sedang berproses merawat dan membangun perdamaian. Dalam artikel ini, perdamaian komunitas lintas agama dianalisis melalui tradisi lokal sebagai kriterianya. Penelitian ini didasari oleh observasi dan wawancara di antara tokoh adat, tokoh agama, tokoh pemuda, pemerhati perempuan, akademisi, dan masyarakat di Pulau Saparua. Diprediksi dan ditemukan bahwa prinsip perdamaian dari filosofi hidup “Basudara People” pada Ale Rasa Beta Rasa, Sagu Salempeng Patah Dua, dan Sei Leli Hatulo-Hatuli Eleli Esepei. Perdamaian melalui tradisi lokal Pela Gandong dan Masohi sebagai kerjasama untuk saling membantu komunitas lintas agama. Dengan demikian, hasil menunjukkan pentingnya dialogis tokoh lintas agama dan tokoh adat untuk menjaga dan memelihara keberlanjutan perdamaian lintas agama.
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pela gandong sebagai resolusi konflik kultural dalam konflik Ambon 1999-2002. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi konflik, teori reolusi konflik kultural, serta metode pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara dengan warga Ambon Muslim dan Kristen, tulisan ini menemukan bahwa, pertama, etnosentrisme merupakan penyebab kultural utama konflik Ambon, dan, kedua, konflik Ambon diselesaikan dan kedamaian terbangun kokoh melalui resolusi konflik kultural pela gandong. Dengan nilai-nilai luhur utamanya persaudaraan, persamaan, kesetaraan, kebersamaan dan toleransi, pela gandong sangat efektif menjadi resolusi konflik kultural baik selama konflik Ambon terjadi, paska konflik maupun dalam membina damai hingga kini. Selama konflik Ambon terjadi, tidak ditemukan adanya konflik antara negeri-negeri Muslim dan Kristen yang terikat pela gandong. Paska konflik terjadi, pela gandong menjadi fondasi resolusi konflik kultural dalam membangun kembali perdamaian, menguatkan kapasitas warga Ambon “dari dalam”; membangun kembali hubungan mereka yang sempat retak; menegaskan kembali nilai bersaudara sesama orang Maluku; mengajarkan saling mengakui perbedaan agama dan budaya; mempercepat pemulihan dari trauma konflik; merajut kembali persaudaraan salam sarane; dan membangun saling percaya antara negeri-negeri Muslim dan Kristen. Sedangkan dalam proses bina damai hingga kini, pela gandong juga diakui warga Ambon efektif menangkal “tangan-tangan luar” yang terus mencoba mengeskalasikan kembali konflik karena setiap negeri di Ambon sudah ber-pela gandong dengan satu negeri.
