Chemotherapy drugs are proven to be effective in killing cancer cells, but chemotherapy drugs can also cause side effects such as hair loss. These side effects make patients less motivated to undergo chemotherapy programs. The drop-out rate for chemotherapy program patients at the RSCM Polyclinic is 5%. The research objective was to prove the relationship between the knowledge and attitude of the patient and the support of the husband and the patient's motivation to undergo the chemotherapy program. The research method used was cross sectional. Respondents were patients undergoing chemotherapy programs at the RSCM polyclinic. The sampling strategy used was patients who had undergone breast surgery and were actively undergoing chemotherapy. Respondents amounted to 30 people. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation with a value of p = 0.032, attitudes with motivation p = 0.0001, support from husbands with motivation p = 0.0001. Meanwhile, the results of the multivariate test obtained a correlation model where two independent variables (knowledge and family support) had a very strong positive relationship with the patient's motivation to undergo chemotherapy at a significance level of 5% (p = 0.011; R-square model = 0.700). The conclusion is that the better the level of knowledge and attitude of the patient and the full support of the husband, the higher the motivation of the patient to undergo the chemotherapy program. Research recommendations for patients who have dropped out of chemotherapy.
Hypertension is also understood as the "silent killer" as the symptoms of hypertension are frequently not experienced by the sufferer, hence, the majority of hypertension patients are unaware that they suffer from hypertension. Uncontrolled hypertension can harm multiple organs. Hypertension cannot be cured; however, it can be managed such that blood pressure stays within normal limits. Changes in lifestyle and pharmacological therapy are employed to control hypertension. The objective of this study is to investigate the association between hypertension patients' characteristics and amount of awareness about lifestyle in controlling hypertension. A descriptive analytic design with a cross sectional approach was administered in this investigation. This study included all hypertension patients who visited the Cibubur Village Health Center. Purposive sampling was utilized in this study, yielding 115 respondents. The analysis technique involved the Chi-Square test. Results: There was a relationship between age and lifestyle (p=0.044), the last education and lifestyle (p = 0.017), and the level of knowledge with lifestyle (p=0.000). Meanwhile, gender, occupation, and family history of hypertension did not possess a significant relationship with lifestyle in controlling hypertension. Future studies are suggested to examine the role of external environmental support in influencing lifestyle to control hypertension.
Surgery for bone repositioning through internal fixation (Open Reduction Internal Fixation) is a medical action to improve the position of the fractured bone. The purpose of the ORIF action is to restore the function of bone movement and stabilization so that patients are expected to mobilize early after surgery. One of the treatment focuses on postoperative patients with ORIF is gradual exercise and activity. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of self-efficacy of postoperative patients with ORIF in the exercise of lower extremity mobilization. The cross sectional research method that involving 80 respondents who had been carried out ORIF installation surgery in the orthopedic surgical treatment room. Data analysis using linear regression test, the results showing that there is a positive and significant effect of the patient's self-efficacy on lower limb mobilization exercises at p-value = 0.005 with the R square value = 0.495 which means that the effect of self-efficacy is moderate on post ORIF patient mobilization exercises. So in general it can be concluded that the effect of increasing patient efficacy will increase the behavior of lower limb mobilization exercises in lower limb patients.
