This paper describes the implementation of policies and the process of developing digital collections with research objects in vocational college libraries with cases in the Malang State Polytechnic library. This paper is based on the implementation of policies and development processes as a whole on a digital library collection with a real qualitative approach to the actions of each activity process. The purpose of this research is to describe the diagram results regarding the processes and results of digital collection policies. The results obtained from this research are, the category of implementation of the digital collection development policy of the State Polytechnic Library of Malang which is divided into 4 policies, namely: the development policy for mapping the sub-discipline of collection science, the policy on the structure of the collection development team, the policy on the implementation time period and the policy on the source of the collection digital. The next results regarding the process of developing a digital collection of the Malang State Polytechnic library are divided into 5 processes, namely: community analysis, selection policies, acquisition, weeding and collection evaluation. From the results of the discussion, the Malang State Polytechnic library has a policy for implementing the digital collection development process so that the results of digital collections can be utilized by students and the academic community as a whole
This article discusses how to implement information literacy and the role of libraries in the learning system in pesantren. This writing is motivated by the development of technology and information which has also given birth to an information society that has brought significant developments in the world of education, including boarding schools. System education in pesantren is required to be able to produce students who are superior in the field of religion and produce those who have information literacy competence so that they can compete in the community. Pesantren library as a central source of information in this case has a central role as an information literacy agent in the pesantren environment. The organization of pesantren is required to be able to have several innovative activities and cooperate with the academic community of pesantren to develop activities in the pesantren learning system by incorporating elements of information literacy skills, especially for students.Keywords: Information Literacy, Pesantren Library, Pesantren Learning, Information Society.
Penelitian ini membahas dan mengkaji mengenai seberapa tingkat usability salah satu software bidang arsip digital dengan berbasis opensource yaitu ICA-AtoM. Latar belakang penulisan adalah dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sudah menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dalam kehidupan masyarakat, khususnya dalam dunia informasi dan dokumentasi dunia kearsipan bahwa penggunaan teknologi informasi cukup intens dilakukan. Pada perkembangannya muncul berbagai software yang cukup berkompeten dalam pengelolaan arsip berbasis digital, terlebih sekarang ini telah banyak software dengan berbasis opensource yang salah satunya adalah ICA-AtoM. Secara metodologi analisa tingkat Usability dilakukan pada ICA-AtoM versi 1.3.1 melalui metode checklist dengan mengacu pada point-point indikator usability yang dikemukakan oleh Nielsen. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa tingkat usability software ICA-AtoM diperoleh hasil prosentase 56,7% yang artinya masih separuh dari ketercapaian usability. Analisa menunjukkan aspek usability terendah terdapat pada point Error prevention (Pencegahan Kesalahan) dan Recognition rather than recall (Mengenali bukan Mengingat) di mana masing-masing aspek diperoleh nilai 0% yang artinya kedua aspek tersebut sama sekali belum terpenuhi. Sedangkan hasil tertinggi diperoleh pada aspek Flexibility and efficiency of use (Fleksibilitas dan Efisiensi Penggunaan) dan Aesthetic and minimalist design (Estetika & desain yang minimalis) yang masing-masing diperoleh hasil prosentase 100%.
