Tulisan ini menjelaskan mengenai program preservasi arsip konvensional yang membahas mengenai cara melakukan kegiatan pencegahan dalam program preventif arsip dan perbaikan arsip dalam program restorasi arsip. Kedua cara tersebut bertujuan untuk melestarikan arsip yang terdampak bencana. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia dengan membahas mengenai jenis-jenis arsip yang terdampak bencana. Penelitian ini menjabarkan tentang arsip yang sering terdampak bencana yang terjadi di Indonesia. Metode preservasi arsip dijelaskan dengan metode preventif dan kuratif. Arsip konvensional atau arsip tekstual menjadi poin utama pada pembahasan ini. Metode kuratif dengan fokus pada restorasi arsip dijelaskan secara detail. Restorasi arsip yang fokus pada proses memperbaiki arsip akibat bencana dijelaskan dengan teknik leafcasting, laminasi, dan enkapsulasi serta penggunaan mesin vacuum freeze dry chamber dan freezer untuk penanganan arsip pascabencana banjir. Aspek manajemen sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana dalam program preservasi arsip ini juga dibahasa dalam penelitian ini.
This study discusses about opinion and analysis of information service program in library using online method, (a case study of information service using Ipusnas Imobile Application). Qualitative descriptive approach was used in this study, and observation to iPusnas application directly was conducted for data gathering. We tried to answer how online library information service using iPusnas application was utilized, how the process flow of information service is, and what advantage and disadvantage iPusnas application has as our research problems. We found that this application is applicable to all people in general, whether they are old, young or have little capability in using the application as long as they have understood information technology. Moreover, this application can encourage millennial generation’s reading interest as they spend most of their time in using information technology devices. This application is still in startup form and need to be developed more in its loading process, features, book collection, and bug improvement to support digital library.
This paper describes the implementation of policies and the process of developing digital collections with research objects in vocational college libraries with cases in the Malang State Polytechnic library. This paper is based on the implementation of policies and development processes as a whole on a digital library collection with a real qualitative approach to the actions of each activity process. The purpose of this research is to describe the diagram results regarding the processes and results of digital collection policies. The results obtained from this research are, the category of implementation of the digital collection development policy of the State Polytechnic Library of Malang which is divided into 4 policies, namely: the development policy for mapping the sub-discipline of collection science, the policy on the structure of the collection development team, the policy on the implementation time period and the policy on the source of the collection digital. The next results regarding the process of developing a digital collection of the Malang State Polytechnic library are divided into 5 processes, namely: community analysis, selection policies, acquisition, weeding and collection evaluation. From the results of the discussion, the Malang State Polytechnic library has a policy for implementing the digital collection development process so that the results of digital collections can be utilized by students and the academic community as a whole
<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tantangan yang permasalahan saat ini dan masa depan dalam sudut pandang pengguna perpustakaan terkini yang berguna bagi jawaban atas tantangan pemimpin perpustakaan masa kini untuk mengatur staf di bawahnya dalam mewujudkan pengambilan kebijakan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan studi pustaka yaitu melalui observasi melalui website akan sebuah kasus yang sedang tren. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori kepemimpinan normatif dan situasional. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) Pengguna milenial dan nonmilenial dapat merasakan layanan perpustakaan menggunakan aplikasi iPusnas dan aplikasi Mlibsys Muha yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan atas dukungan dari pimpinan perpustakaan. 2) Penyatuan model kepemimpinan normatif<br />dan situasional menghasilkan sikap pemimpin yang sudah mengetahui situasi terkini sehingga pengikut wajib menjalankan kebijakan dari pemimpin dan diperlukan pengaturan pengguna pada saat program berjalan maupun telah selesai.</p><p>Kata kunci: generasi nonmilenial, generasi milenial, kepemimpinan, perpustakaan perguruan tinggi</p>
This study describes contemporary reference services in college libraries with a written perspective on social changes that exist in millennial users or users today. This study also explains the current innovation of reference services in the sample library samples discussed. Examples of library reference services discussed are retrieving information on library pages at IPB, UPI and UNAIR libraries. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach by online observation by taking information on the library website page. The analysis was carried out using online observation on the library website which focuses on observation in the context of reference services. Furthermore, a comparison with social theory is carried out on three types of radical social change in the literature on young users of the digital era. The results in this paper are that these three types of changes can be used as a contextual analysis of the scope of young users or millennial users in determining policies on innovation implemented in library reference services. Information technology innovation by making reference service applications that run on desktop and mobile is one of the current innovations that are right on target and in accordance with current library users. This is evidenced by the increasing number of library service applications so that libraries can innovate in collaboration with mobile or desktop reference services.
