Market competition is no longer limited to provide functional attributes of the product itself but has been associated with a brand that can create a special image for its users, especially in the service industry.The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the influence of brand image on purchase behavior as well as identifying and analyzing the mediating role of brand Business Management and Strategy ISSN 2157-6068 2014 www.macrothink.org/bms 59 trust in the relationship between brand image with purchase behavior. This study was conducted on 386 students at 13 Islamic private universities in East Java province. The results of the analysis of this study which is used Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) as the research method revealed that brand image have a significant role in influencing the purchasing behavior and brand trust also turned out to have a mediating role, although not fully in the relationship between brand image with purchase behavior.
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi (1) pengaruh produk tehadap keputusan berkunjung, (2) pengaruh harga tehadap keputusan berkunjung, (3) pengaruh promosi tehadap keputusan berkunjung, (4) pengaruh lokasi tehadap keputusan berkunjung, (5) pengaruh orang tehadap keputusan berkunjung, (6) pengaruh proses tehadap keputusan berkunjung, (7) pengaruh bukti fisik tehadap keputusan berkunjung di objek wisata pantai yang ada di daerah Pasuruan dan Probolinggo; serta mengindentifikasi (8) pengaruh produk, harga, promosi, lokasi, orang, proses, serta bukti fisik secara simultan tehadap keputusan berkunjung di objek wisata pantai yang ada di daerah Pasuruan dan Probolinggo. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif dimana instrumen yang digunakan berbentuk angket dengan sistem survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa program sarjana manajemen di Surabaya, Pasuruan dan Probolinggo dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 174 mahasiswa. Uji validitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan CFA yang dilengkapi dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach untuk menguji reliabilitas instrumen penelitian; serta menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa komponen bauran pemasaran jasa yang dalam penelitian ini dirinci menjadi variabel produk, harga, promosi, lokasi, orang, proses dan bukti fisik terbukti secara parsial memengaruhi variabel keputusan berkunjung. Ditemukan juga bahwa variabel independen dalam penelitian ini secara simultan juga memengaruhi variabel keputusan berkunjung.
This study aims to determine (1) the influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurship motivation ofmanagement student and (2) the influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial skills of management education student. This research is associative causal research with a quantitative approach. The variables of this research are in entrepreneurship education as independent variables, motivation and entrepreneurial skills as the dependent variable. The sample of population in this research is management education student respondents for about 213 students in East Java, Indonesia. Data collection techniques in this research using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis method used was Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square. This research finds that entrepreneurship education have a positive and significant effect towards entrepreneurship motivation and this research also finds that entrepreneurship education have a positive and significant effect towards entrepreneurship skill. From those findings, this research concludes that entrepreneurship education have a significant role in the disruptive age.
The commercial advertising is one the most famous and the most discussed promotion tool because of its scope. One of the products using Television Commercial, as the promotion tool in Ramadan, is Ramayana Department Store. Before and During the Ramadan, most Moslems have their activities in Ramadan with themselves, their society, their colleagues and their beloved families. In Ramayana Ramadan Commercial "Their Happiness is My Happiness" ("Bahagianya Adalah Bahagiaku"), aired in the television, aimed: (1) to know the family relation to the meaning of Ramayana Ramadan Commercial "Their Happiness is My Happiness" ("Bahagianya Adalah Bahagiaku") for Indonesian Moslems' habit during Ramadan. (2) To discover the creative message in Ramayana Ramadan Commercial "Their Happiness is My Happiness". For this commercial analysis, the writer applied Content Analysis Approach and Communication Semiotics approach. Based on the analysis in each part of the commercial, the writer found the process of the delivered message by Ramayana Ramadan Commercial. The message is related to the unstoppable habits of Indonesian Moslem, from the past until now, about the roles of Moslems for having fast at the holy month of Ramadan.
Nowadays, the development of social media and marketplaces as part of information technology contributes to business activities. This development has also changed the pattern and map of market competition to become much more competitive. Therefore, mastery of the use of social media and marketplaces is important and strategic that every business actor must have. However, this is in contrast to business people who are still pioneering or have just started their business, such as the youth at Karang Taruna Permata Alam Permai Gedangan Sidoarjo. With minimal knowledge and insight about social media and marketplaces it can hinder them from developing their start-up businesses. Therefore, this community service activity aims to increase the insight and knowledge of the Karang Taruna Permata Alam Permai Gedangan Sidoarjo in the use of social media and marketplaces to develop business. The methods used in the implementation of community service activities include training and mentoring related to increasing knowledge and insight. Knowledge and insight referred to in this activity is the use of information technology. This information technology can be used to develop a wider marketing reach. This activity has been going well and has an important contribution in improving the quality of the Permata Alam Permai Gedangan Sidoarjo Youth Organization which has been able to apply social media and marketplaces as part of the digital marketing tool. The use of this media can also encourage increased sales due to the development of exposure of the products being sold
