<p>One effort to improve the quality of education is the innovation of learning, one of them with the application of e-learning. With the help of the TAM tool as an analysis in measuring the acceptance attitude of teachers and students. Seeing from the side of ease of use and e-learning use. The purpose of this research is to 1) to know the acceptance of students to an information system applied in the form of e-learning, and 2) to analyze the effect of e-learning implementation on learning motivation of learners. More specifically, the study will evaluate the application of LMS Edmodo and Schoology. The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis for the disseminated questionnaire and thematic analysis for the interview data obtained. The result of this research is the use of e-learning better if collaborated with conventional learning. So that will complement each deficiency of both e-learning and conventional learning.</p>
Smoking is one of the habits that can affect human health. One type of cigarette that is currently the choice is electric cigarettes. The e-cigarette content includes nicotine, propylene glycol, flavorings and glycerin. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exposure to e-cigarette smoke on mice strain balb / c with the parameters of the number of spermatozoa. This study used 15 male mice which were 8-10 weeks old and weighed 25-30 grams of male mice which were divided into 3 treatment groups namely control group, treatment group one and treatment group two. In the control group no exposure to cigarette smoke was carried out while in the treatment group one was exposed to cigarette smoke in mice with a dose of 0 mg nicotine and the second treatment group was exposed to e-cigarette smoke at a dose of 18 mg nicotine. Electric cigarette smoke exposure is carried out for 30 days using a suction device from a syringe. The exposure of cigarette smoke is carried out every day with successive doses of 20 times as much as 3 times with a time lag of 10 minutes (5 minutes the chamber is closed and 5 minutes of the chamber is opened). The results showed that the average number of spermatozoa in the control group was 16.816 million / ml. The average number of spermatozoa in treatment one was 10.432 million / ml and the average number of spermatozoa in treatment two was 5.234 million / ml. This shows that exposure to cigarette smoke can reduce the number of spermatozoa from the control group to the first treatment by 42.56% and the second treatment shows a decrease from the first group by 34.65%.
Abstract-The need of information technology in the modern era is inevitable. It occurs in most of institutions, including the Islamic Boarding School. Parents of Islamic Boarding School students have difficulty in choosing a proper dorm for their child in new academic year. This happens because there are many choices provided by the boarding school. The dormitories vary in terms of cost, facilities, and activities of the dorm. Therefore, it is necessary to build a Dorm Information Systems (SIRAMA) to assist parents and students in searching a dormitory that best meets their criteria. SIRAMA is a web-based application that serves as an information media about the dormitory at boarding school. The information consists of the initial cost of dormitory entrance, monthly fees, boarding facilities, and schedule activities of the dorm. SIRAMA is developed using waterfall model, implemented using PHP Yii framework as the programming language, and tested with blackbox testing and user acceptance testing. The result shows that SIRAMA is capable to recommend a list of dormitories that meets the students or parents' criteria. SIRAMA is also very well accepted by the users.
Background. Stunting is a major health problem in developing countries. Animal-based supplements can increase the height of children with stunting. This study was aimed at determining the effect of eel biscuit supplementation on increase in the height of children with stunting aged 36–60 months. Methods. A pilot study with pretest-post-test design. The study was conducted in two villages in the Priangan Region, West Java Province, Indonesia. The participants were divided into two groups: intervention group (10 supplemented eel biscuit pieces) and control group (biscuits from the government’s biscuit programme). A total of 56 children aged 36–60 months with the height-for-age z-score of <−2 SD were recruited voluntarily for sampling. Results. The initial height-for-age z-score of the intervention group was −3.45 SD and that of the control group was −3.11 SD. After 3 months of supplemented eel biscuit consumption, the height-for-age z-score of the intervention group changed to −2.52 SD and that of the control group changed to −2.51 SD. The average shift of the height-for-age z-score after 3 months of supplemented eel biscuit consumption was 0.93 SD in the intervention group and 0.6 SD in the control group. There were significant differences in delta and percent increase in the height-for-age z-score between both groups. Conclusions. Consumption of supplemented eel biscuits for 3 months increased the height-for-age z-score of children with stunting aged 36–60 months by 0.93 SD.
