This service activity aims to increase knowledge and ability to solve high-stakes test questions as preparation for UTBK and KSN students of SMAN 3 Siak Hulu. Implementing this service used training with the evaluation instrument, namely a questionnaire, and was analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of this dedication showed that students' knowledge and abilities had increased in solving high-stakes test questions in chemistry subjects. In addition, this activity could change students' paradigm towards learning chemistry, which was considered difficult to be easier, and could increase students' motivation to study chemistry. This service activity could also increase students' self-confidence and readiness to participate in KSN and UTBK.
ABSTRAKTidak adanya peningkatan prestasi siswa SMA 3 Siak Hulu dalam KSN bidang kimia tingkat provinsi dan tingkat kelulusan siswa dalam UTBK perlu segera diatasi. Selain itu, adanya paradigma pada sebagian besar siswa yang menganggap kimia merupakan matapelajaran yang sulit dan abstrak membuat siswa kurang termotivasi untuk mengikuti pembelajaran, terlebih lagi kegiatan tambahan berkaitan dengan kimia. Permasalahan ini perlu segera diatasi, salah satunya melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakakat dalam bentuk bimbingan dan pelatihan pemecahan soal-soal KSN dan UTBK agar siswa menjadi terlatih dan termotivasi sehingga dapat memperbaiki prestasi siswa. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan pre test untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan siswa, selanjutnya dilakukan pembimbingan dan pemberian motivasi dalam pengerjaan soal menggunakan metode diskusi, ceramah, dan tanya jawab sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan dan di akhir kegiatan dilakukan post test untuk mengevaluasi capaian siswa pasca pembimbingan dan melihat kesiapan siswa. Adapun siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini siswa dapat merubah paradigma terhadap pembelajaran kimia yang dianggap sulit menjadi pembelajaran mudah dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa untuk mempelajari kimia dan berlatih mengerjakan soal-soal high stake test. Kegiatan ini juga dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kesiapan siswa dalam mengikuti KSN dan UTBK.
The Urban Village is a Regency/City regional apparatus domiciled in the subdistrict area, which is chaired by a headman. In the organizational structure, the urban village still has one level of structure under it, namely Neighborhood which is headed by the head of neighborhood . The Head of the neighborhood is an element of implementing operational tasks from the village in the government and society . Refers to the constitution 1945 paragraph 6 regarding regional autonomy that local governments have the right to form other regulations to carry out autonomy and assistant duties, Mayor's Regulation Number 9 of 2021 concerning the Appointment and Dismissal of the Head of neighborhood in Padangsidimpuan City who functions as an assistant to a headman in carrying out government duties, empowerment and community security. In addition, seeing the abolition of several Government Regulations Number 72 of 2005 about Villages and Number 73 of 2005 about Urban Village, it is necessary to make regulations that discuss the position of the Head of neighborhood in the Governance. This study uses descriptive methods with a qualitative approach and research results obtained through interviews, documentation and literature study.
