The field mastery of technology, especially in the field of Information and Communication Technology, is one of the obligations for teachers to improve their competence. But at this time the teachers are still applying the conventional teaching model, for example when the teacher stands in front of the class then explains about the subject. This is good for students who pay attention what the material explained by teacher, but if there is the student who can not attend that class they will be missed the lesson. One of some ways to overcome this problem needs for an additional mechanism as an additional learning media as teacher assistants, especially for vocational teachers in SMK Masmur Pekanbaru. The additional learning media is a Learning Management System (LMS) based learning. LMS is a form of web-based computer software, by uploading it to the internet, the e-learning system will be accessible anywhere and anytime. This training is based on LMS where the teachers will use the Edmodo application. By using Edmodo, the teachers have more rights to regulate who can join the group that is created, can control the activities of their students, and can directly assess the tasks. It is expected that LMS-based learning with Edmodo application to be able to improve teachers professionalism and make the learning process in the classroom more efficient than before
In 2018, Batam State Polytechnic has carried out community service in the village of Pasir Panjang, Rempang Island. Pasir Panjang village is one of the villages that is still not electrified by the local electricity company. The village also experiences difficulties in providing clean water because of its location on the coast. Therefore, the dedication of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the State Polytechnic of Batam in the form of grants and installation of water pumps for public facility with an independent power source from a 100WP solar cell. The problem arises when after carrying out the installation, the water pump cannot pump water properly. In the following year, the service was continued by making improvements to the electrical installation system. Starting from the analysis of the causes of system failure to repair. From the analysis and observation, it is known that the cause of the pump not working properly is due to a decrease in voltage because the Rs value in the solar cell system is quite large. By changing the cable size for current distribution, this problem can be resolved.
Pesawat Atwood merupakan alat yang sering digunakan untuk membuktikan hukum-hukum tentang gerak. Di Laboratorium Fisika Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau, pengukuran pada pesawat Atwood masih dilakukan secara manual dengan menggunakan stopwatch. Penggunaan stopwatch untuk menghitung waktu dianggap tidak optimal karena butuh ketelitian yang akurat yang terkadang mendapatkan hasil yang tidak presisi dan akurat. Pada penelitian ini dirancang sebuah alat yang dapat mengukur percepatan secara otomatis pada pesawat Atwood menggunakan sensor LDR. Alat ini digunakan untuk mengukur percepatan beban jatuh pada jarak 25, 35, dan 40 cm dengan massa beban tambahan 10, 15, dan 20 gram. Dari hasil pengukuran percepatan secara otomatis diperoleh persentase kesalahan rata-rata 3,97%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pengukuran percepatan pada pesawat Atwood secara otomatis menggunakan sensor LDR memiliki tingkat keberhasilan 96,03% dibandingkan dengan pengukuran percepatan yang dilakukan secara manual yang hanya memiliki tingkat keberhasilan 89,82%.
