Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea is a gynecological complaint caused by an imbalance of the progesterone hormone in the blood that causes pain and most often occurs in women. Women who experience menstrual pain usually produce prostaglandin 10 times more than women who do not experience menstrual pain. This prostaglandin causes an increase in uterine contractions that causes menstrual pain. Research purposes: to identify literature related to acidic turmeric drinks to menstrual pain levels. The type of literature study conducted is using analytical metadata using literature (literature review) that can explain the benefits of acid turmeric drinks to reduce pain levels during menstruation. Menstrual pain is abdominal pain that comes from uterine cramps that occurs during menstruation. Usually occurs at the onset of menstruation and lasts several hours to several days until it reaches the peak of pain. Menstrual pain, the fact that women cannot act normally can have an economic impact, because it relates to expenditures spent on purchasing, and medical care. To reduce prices on dysmenorrhea respondents, what we did was to give acidic turmeric drinks to respondents who were conceived during menstruation. Acidic turmeric drinks are drinks that are processed with the main ingredients of turmeric and acid. Naturally turmeric is believed to have active ingredients that can be used as analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory, so it is also acidic (tamarind) which has active ingredients as anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and sedative.
Foot edema or swelling in the legs is found most in pregnant women in the third trimester, prioritizing the principles of care for mothers and babies to descrease discomfort, the need for prevention and appropriate care for pregnant women. The purpose of this article is to review some of the literature related to the application of foot massage and soak in warm kaempferia galanga L mixed water to reduce edema of pregnant women in the third trimester. This article method is a form of analysis metadata research using literature review. The source used in the electronic database is EBSCO, and google scholar with the keywords foot massage, edema of the pregnant mother's feet/foot edema late pregnancy, soaking warm water, kaempferia galanga L as antiinflammatory. The article used is between 2009-2018, found 1 international journal and 14 national journals with 6main journals and 9 study supporting journals. The results of foot massage and warm water soaked with kaempferia galanga L have not been applied in a similar manner, but from each treatment combined so as to reduce physiological edema of pregnant women in the third trimester. The discussion of the literature review of six journal articles can be combined and examined that intervening in foot edema in pregnant women naturally by using foot massage and soaking warm water mixed with Kaempferia Galanga L in a safe and effective intervention category to reduce edema of pregnant women. The conclusion of this article was the application of foot massage therapy and warm water soaking the mixture of Kaempferia Galanga L effective in reducing physiological foot edema in third trimester pregnant women who have not received any treatment.
Preeclampsia is one of the causes of the high maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia. In Banyumas District, preeclampsia is the highest cause of MMR in January-June 2018 period. One of the risk factors of preeclampsia is the stress level in pregnancy. Prolonged levels of stress can lead to psychological changes in increased levels of adrenal and cortisol hormones. Non-pharmacological treatment techniques that can be used are music therapy and aromatherapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of music and aromatherapy therapy on pregnancy class on the stress level of pregnant women. This research is a miniriset with the type of pre-experimental research using one group pretest posttest design. A sample of 20 pregnant women who attended pregnancy class. Measurement of stress levels was carried out before and after the intervention using the Perseived Stress Scale (PSS). The mean level stress before the intervention 18.60 with minimum value 12 and maximum value 27. Meanwhile, the mean level stress after intervention 18.30 with minimum value 11 and maximum value 27. There was decrease in stress levels 0.30. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that the increase in pregnancy class is accompanied by the addition of non-pharmacological therapies to overcome psychological problems in pregnant women such as music therapy and aromatherapy.
Breastmilk is very useful for babies at the beginning of their lives because it contains a lot of antibodies for the baby's immunity that can prevent diseases that cause the death of infants and toddlers. One of the factors that a mother cannot give immediate is breast milk expenditure that is not smooth in the first days after giving birth. The delayed release of breast milk can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormone oxytocin and prolactin which are very instrumental in smoothing out breastfeeding expenditure. This non effortless release of breast milk can be stimulated by a combination of Oxytocin Massage and Marmet Technique. The aim of the study was to identify the literature review relating to oxytocin massage and marmet technique. Methods: This study uses literature (literature review) about the benefits of applying oxytocin massage and marmet techniques. The source for conducting this review is in the form of 8 research articles from 2013 to 2017. The research design was descriptive by analyzing two international journals and six national journals relating to oxytocin massage and marmet technique. Results: Oxytocin massage and marmet techniques can be categorized as safe and effective interventions to increase for the spending of breastmilk in postpartum mothers who experience problems with breast milk production. Conclusion: Oxytocin massage and marmet techniques can increase for the spending of breastmilk.
