<p>Oil Water Separator (OWS) is an auxiliary machine that separates oil from water. It is waste that containing water and oil. The result of that separation reach less than 15 ppm so that the wastewater from the sea does not cause pollution. This mechine aircraft has a role to prevent the of pollution at sea. It is in accordance with MARPOL 1973 ANNEX I. The purpose of this study is to determine the cause of the high oil content resulting from the OWS on board of MT. Ontari. In this case the researchers used a combined method of shel and ultrasonography as data analysis techniques to analyze the problems that on OWS, such as what factors caused the increase in oil content and what efforts were made to overcome these factors. The data shel is to analize the problems. The ultrasonography is to determining the top priority problems. The result of this research that has been done on December 12, 2016 to October 26, 2017 on board of MT. Ontari on is that the level of the oil content inside OWS is caused by several factors. There are dirty coalesscer filters, bilge wells that containing dirty oil, lack of proper maintenance and due to misconducting tyhe procedures on tyhe manual book. The suggestion to overcome this problems are cleaning or replacing the coalesscer filters and bilge and optimal care of the OWS.</p><p><em><strong>Keywords : Oil water separator, Remnants, Oil</strong></em></p><p><em><strong><br /></strong></em>Oily Water Separator (OWS) merupakan permesinan bantu yang memisahkan minyak dari air buangan yang mengandung minyak sampai hasil pemisahannya mencapai kurang dari 15 ppm sehingga air buangan kelaut tidak menimbulkan pencemaran. Pesawat ini mempunyai peranan untuk mencegah terjadinya pencemaran dilaut sesuai dengan MARPOL 1973 ANNEX I. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab tingginya kandungan minyak hasil proses ows yang terjadi di MT. Ontari. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan metode gabungan antara shel dan usg sebagai teknik analisis data untuk menganalisis masalah yang ada pada pesawat oily water separator, yaitu faktor-faktor apakah yang menyebabkan meningkatnya kandungan minyak hasil proses oily water separtor dan upaya apa yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi faktor–faktor dari permasalahan tersebut dengan menganalisis faktor menggunakan metode analisis data shel, dan menentukan prioritas utama dengan menggunakan metode usg. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan peneliti di kapal MT. Ontari pada tanggal 12 Desember 2016 sampai dengan 26 Oktober 2017, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tinggi kandugan minyak hasil proses oily water separator disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu kotornya filter coalesscer, bilge well banyak mengandung minyak kotor dan kurangnya perawatan dan prosedur pengoperasian yang kurang tepat sesuai instruction manual book. Untuk mengatasi faktor-faktor tersebut dapat dilakukan langkah pembersihan atau penggantian filter coalesscer, pembersihan bilge well serta perawatan ows secara optimal.</p><p><em><strong>Kata kunci: Analisis, Kandungan minyak, Oily water separator</strong></em></p>
Fix overtime on MT. Ontari at PT. Buana Listya Tama, can help Crews finish work on time with limited time, but the implementation of fix overtime at PT. Buana Listya Tama has not been going well to improve the performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the cause of fix overtime in order to improve the performance of Watchkeeping are given to Ship Crews to improve. This research uses descriptive qualitative method which will reveal facts, phenomena, variables and conditions that occur when the research is going on regarding fix overtime experienced by Crews. The results of the study indicate the causes of fix overtime including, the role of the rear face when leaning or off the dock, existence of anchor, loading and unloading, drill, bunkering, and ship engine maintenance. Policy of the fix overtime are not comfortable so many crew want to sign off before the contract expires, and the policy of fix overtime there are problems or obstacles that need time and process for the creation of efforts or steps taken can realized business that can be done including, increasing salaries, providing incentives and compensation and vessel allowance to the crew at PT. Buana Listya Tama.
Pemerintah Republik Indonesia melalui Kementerian Perhubungan menugaskan Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang untuk melakukan diklat laut Basic Safety Training (BST) Kapal Layar Motor guna menyertifikasi awak kapal wisata dan nelayan di Sungai Liat Kabupaten Bangka. Kegiatan ini berdasarkan Surat permintaan dari KSOP Sungai Liat kepada Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi Awak Kapal terkait keselamatan pelayaran dan pencemaran lingkungan laut. Instruktur dan Dosen Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang sebagai Narasumber melakukan pendidikan, pelatihan dan penyuluhan terhadap Awak kapal wisata dan Nelayan Sungai Liat agar dapat menerapkan keselamatan dan keamanan dalam menjalankan tugasnya dan juga ikut mendukung menjaga lingkungan laut untuk kepentingan bersama. Data analysis techniques use the SWOT method to analyze the factors that cause surging of the Main Movers Diesel Engine and the efforts made to overcome the factors associated with strengthening, weakness, opportunities, and protection.Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, the cause of the rise in Diesel Engine The main driving force is caused by two factors, namely the escape of compression during combustion due to oversize cylinder liner and spare parts of the main engine supply on the ship is hampered. To overcome the factors that can be done using cylinder liner that has been oversized, reducing the rotation of the main engine so that the exhaust gas is more stable, reducing the consumption of cylinder oil to reduce sludge in the rinse air chamber, using a blower to be manual to increase the rinse air to normal pressure during the engine operation, reconditioning the spare parts Parent engines such as crown pistons and piston rings by repairing so that they can be used again temporarily waiting for parts to arrive on board, and making spare parts purchases with boat money on spare parts that are lightweight and inexpensive for maintenance and repair of main engine spare parts.
Cylindrical liner is the place of burning to generate power or effort inside the Mother Machine. The size of the oversized diameter will affect the incomplete combustion. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of broken piston rings and surging, the impact of oversized liners and strategies to minimize the impact of oversized cylinder liners. The research method used is SWOT analysis and questionnaire method distributed to 51 samples of students officer of ATT II class and on board interview. Oversized cylinder liner causes the piston ring to be broken and incomplete combustion causing surging turbocharger. Strategies to minimize the impact of oversized liner by replacing piston rings and cylinder liner, cleaning scavenging of water thrunk and piston groove for normal rinse air pressure and combustion quality increases
