Tembakau merupakan komoditas potensial yang massif dikembangkan di Indonesia. Di sisi lain, proses budidaya dan kegiatan pasca panen tembakau menimbulkan masalah kesehatan, sosial, dan ekonomi yang saling berkaitan seperti adanya risiko Green Tobaco Sickness (GTS) pada anak yang terlibat dalam proses pengolahan tembakau karena terpaksa membantu orang tuanya yang terdesak masalah ekonomi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menginisiasi peran guru sekolah dasar di desa penghasil tembakau dalam upaya mengendalikan risiko GTS pada siswanya yang merupakan anak buruh tembakau. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di MI Darussalam 02 yang berlokasi di Desa Bagon Kecamatan Puger Kabupaten Jember pada Agustus - Oktober 2021 dengan seluruh guru di sekolah tersebut sebagai khalayak sasaran. Tahapan kegiatan ini dibagi menjadi 3 yakni persiapan, penyuluhan tentang pengendalian GTS, serta monitoring pelaksanaan pendekatan dan edukasi tentang pengendalian risiko GTS oleh khalayak sasaran kepada siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dinilai telah mampu mengisiasi khalayak sasaran untuk berperan dalam mengendalikan risiko GTS pada siswa MI Darussalam 02 yang biasa membantu orang tuanya mengolah daun tembakau segar. Hal ini didukung dengan adanya peningkatan literasi khalayak sasaran tentang tata cara pengendalian risiko GTS, munculnya kemauan dan kemampuan khalayak sasaran untuk berperan aktif dalam melaksanakan kegiatan edukasi tentang tata cara pengendalian risiko GTS kepada siswanya.
Adherence to taking this medication is needed in all diseases, especially TB disease, because this disease requires extra supervision in its treatment. Adherence to medication behavior is basically influenced by several factors, one of which is social support from those closest to the patient. Support can be obtained from the patient's family (father and mother), who always monitor the progress of patients. The 4 basic forms of social support, namely emotional support, instrumental support, informative support and reward support. This was qualitative research. Focus group discussion with 12 informants used for collected data. Results of this research showed that parents gave social supports i.g emotional support, instrumental support, informative support and reward support which related with medication adherence.
