This study aims to develop a learning design based on student broadcasting to enhance student’s experiential skill. It provides alternative learning design for lecturer of Indonesia history and culture through the use of information technology, especially using video broadcasting in obtaining learning activities and experiences. This research used an ADDIE model—an interactive learning processes model which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Based on some validations and implementation tests during the learning design process, it was found that the learning design product was considered feasible to be implemented into a learning product and provided some soft skill to the student in news coverage, public speaking, editing video, and other experimental skills. It also gave field experiences to enrich student’s creativity in the learning process by students broadcasting design on Indonesian history and culture course.
This research was conducted to see parents effort in improving their parenting skills, especially in building children's character education. Parental education is very important and crucial for children. During 2007 to 2009 there were cases of juvenile delinquency which involves teenagers aged ≤18 years and cases of mental decline. This cases shows that there is a moral decline or character of millennial generation. Millennials tend to have weak mentality compared to the previous generations. This also indicates that the role of the family in shaping character to the millennials are not going well. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with 21 parents who had children aged between 2-18 years as respondents. The collected data is reduced, interpreted and analyzed. The results of the study are presented in a narrative descriptive manner. The purpose of this research is to find out whether parents prepare themselves with the science of parenting.
Setiap orang cenderung menganggap kehidupan modern itu selalu baik. Orang-orang di perkotaan besar di Jawa Barat berlomba-lomba dalam modernisasi. Namun ternyata hal tersebut menimbulkan permasalahan, yakni permasalahan terganggunya lingkungan hidup dan terdegradasinya kebudayaan daerah. Atas permasalahan tersebut peneliti merasa prihatin dan mencoba mengangkat tema kearifan lokal masyarakat Kampung Naga sebagai wujud menjaga alam dan konservasi terhadap budaya Sunda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualtitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: 1) Masyarakat menetapkan peraturan adat dalam hal tata kelola keruangan menjadi tiga peruntukkan yakni pemukiman serta perternakan, pertanian dan hutan larangan (hutan keramat). 2) Semua orang yang tinggal di wilayah Kampung Naga berprofesi sebagai petani yang menggunakan peralatan tradisional, ada beberapa warga yang memiliki pekerjaan tambahan dengan berjualan dan juga beternak ikan, 3) Semua bangunan rumah di Kampung Naga adalah rumah panggung yang mempertahankan arsitektur bangunan rumah adat Sunda. Dengan demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa segala aktivitas masyarakat Kampung Naga selalu berupaya selaras dengan alam, tidak boleh merusak alam serta mempertahankan kebudayaan sunda berdasarkan pesan dari karuhun-nya (leluhur).DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um021v3i12018p001
One of the subjects that must be taken and is important to complete for semester v history education students is History Education Research (HER). The importance of this course is because it is a prerequisite for taking the seminar course in the following semester. In addition, the final output of this course is in the form of a research proposal project which will eventually culminate in the final assignment of students to complete their studies. Because the crucial subject (HER) is a learning system that can understand students about the material and can apply it in the preparation of proposals. One of the most effective ways to be done in order to develop a systemic learning system is carefully planned with various considerations through Lesson Study activities. It was from this LS activity that the final achievement of the PPS course was more achievable. This research describes one sample activity to see the effectiveness of LS in understanding students about research problems. Because the research problem is the basic foundation in the discussion of this course and is used as a continuing topic until the preparation of the proposal.
