The development of technology and information as well as the very rapid use of social media today makes it easy for someone to write a status or comment about what he thinks. Not infrequently, someone's status or speech on social media which is considered to contain elements of language crime can have legal implications if other peoples feel insulted by the utterances. This study aims to analyze hate speech that contains elements of blasphemy on social media and the legal impact of these utterances. The research method used is qualitative with a forensic linguistic approach. The data source is taken from the decision of the Medan District Court with decision number 931/Pid.Sus/2019/PN.Mdn has permanent legal force. Based on data analysis, the results of this study are: (1) the expressive speech act committed by the defendant contains utterances of hatred or contempt for a particular religion and (2) based on the appraisal system analysis, the defendant's utterance of hatred towards religion was evident from the use of language which was reflected in her attitude. The results of this study are that there is a criminal act intentionally showing hatred towards certain individuals and or groups of people based on religion through social media based on Article 28 paragraph (2) of Law No.19 of 2016 about the changes of the Law Number 11 of 2008 on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) in terms of speech act theory and appraisal system.
Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu bagian dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang harus dilaksanakan oleh civitas akademika, khususnya para dosen Universitas Bumigora. Dalam pengabdian ini selain melibatkan Dosen Universitas Bumigora, juga melibatkan tiga orang mahasiswa Universitas Bumigora dari Prodi Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris. Adapun kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Pelatihan Bahasa Asing (Bahasa Inggris) Pemuda Karang Taruna Desa Bilebante Melalui Kegiatan English Camp. Metode pengajaran audio visual merupakan cara memproduksi dan menyampaikan bahan dengan menggunakan peralatan mekanis dan elektronis untuk menyajikan pesan-pesan audio visual. Sesuai dengan namanya, media audio visual merupakan kombinasi atau perpaduan audio dan visual. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah membekali para pemuda karang taruna di desa wisata Bilebante dengan keterampilan bahasa Inggris secara aktif dan komunikatif baik lisan maupun tulisan melalui kegiatan English camp. Hasil dari kegiatan yang telah dilakukan ini memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat desa wisata Bilebante khususnya bagi pemuda karang taruna yang menjadi pemandu desa wisata Bilebante. Penerapan mmetode pengajaran Audio-Visual untuk pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sangat memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemuda karang Taruna desa Bilebante, hal ini dapat dilihat dari tingkat kepercayaan diri para pemuda karangtaruna untuk berkomunikasi dengan enggunakan bahasa Inggris setelah dilakukan pelatihan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat terus berlanjut sesuai dengan tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat itu sendir.
Recently in Indonesia, there have been many cyberbullying containing blasphemy on social media such as what was done by Joseph Paul Zhang and M. Kece. Of course, it can cause legal implications if there are other peoples who feel humiliated. This research aims to (1) analyze illocutionary speech acts of cyberbullying containing blasphemy on social media, (2) reveal the legal impact of the utterance cyberbullying containing blasphemy, and (3) determine the characteristics of cyberbullying containing blasphemy. The method of this research is qualitative with forensic linguistic approach. The data of the research were collected from the copies of court verdict. Based on the analysis, the illocutionary speech act by defendants includes; expressive (hate speech, humiliation), directive (insulting), and assertive (lies). The legal impact of cyberbullying containing blasphemy carried out by the defendants on social media can be charged based on the Law of the Republic Indonesian Article 28 paragraph (2) Law Number 19 of 2016 about Information and Electronic Transactions (the ITE Law). The characteristic of cyberbullying containing blasphemy on social media is the use of harsh words, insults, and blasphemy against religious group, God, Prophets, the holy scriptures/verse, and other religious symbols.
Interference is a symptom of irregularities in language rules. It’s can be happend to someone who is learning a foreign language such as students of STIBA Bumigora grade 2015 who learn German as the second foreign language. Language Interference consists of phonological, lexical, morphological, and syntactic interference. In this study, the authors limit his research only to syntactic interference. Syntactic interference consists of two things, they are inter-language interference and intra-language interference. The method of this study is descriptive analysis. The results of the study show us there are several factors that cause errors in syntactic interference on students german essays STIBA Bumigora Mataram. They are; (1) Errors caused by inter-language interference, it's because of the influence of Indonesian language into the German sentence structure. such as; misplaced words and omission of auxilary verb (to be). (2) Errors caused by intra-language interference, it’s because lack of understanding German grammar rules to german essays. Such as; case errors (nominativ, akkusativ, dativ) and verb conjugation errors.
