Clungup is an area in Malang, East Java, which has good coastal and mangrove resources. It tends to be a potential tourism and has the opportunity as a tourist area. Readiness of managers and the surrounding community to manage the existing coastal resources is another reason. The combination of management, government and community and coastal resources, became the focus of this research using Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis generated from RapTourism (Rapid Appraisal for Tourism) approach. The sustainability of resource management as an asset from tourism through three dimensional approaches, namely ecological, social, and management dimension. Rainfall, mangrove species diversity, community knowledge level of resources, community dependence on the region, interaction level between manager and stakeholders as the most sensitive attributes. Monte Carlo analysis shows that the ecological and management dimension are in stable stage, while for the social dimension is quite stable because it is very vulnerable to change. This study proposes four recommendations to maintain the sustainability of the tourism area in Clungup Beach. The recommendations include the regulations to manage the exploitation of coastal areas, an adequate infrastructure to support the safety of tourists, develop environmentally friendly tourism activities, and strict regulations in expanding tourism in the areas.Keyword: tourism management, sustainable tourism, rapid appraisal for tourism, multidimensional scaling, Clungup.
Abstract. Vegetables are categorized as a perishable product, which is a product with short lifespan thus requires proper handling and planning to reduce losses caused by the short lifespan. In order to reduce the losses, coordination among the players in the supply chain is required. On the other hand, the decision in the supply chain of vegetables and other farming products in the traditional market of developing country is independent among the players. This research is conducted by using System Dynamic Simulation method to develop model and scenario by coordinating the supply quantity amongst players in the supply chain. The scenarios are developed based on newsboy inventory model. This study aims to compare scenarios combining tiers involved in coordination program. The result shows that coordination in supply chain increases total supply chain profit, although there will always be players who experienced decrements in profit. The scenario of coordination among the farmer, the distributor, and the wholesaler resulted in the highest increase in total supply chain profit compared to other coordination scenarios, with an increased value of 10.49%.
One product that has a short life cycle is a fashion products where the consumer desires can influence the company's decision to develop the product. Batik is one of Indonesian local wisdom, which not all of batik in Indonesia has a high popularity, such as Batik Malangan. Kansei Engineering method used in this study to identify the implicit desire of users in the form of feeling, emotion, or perception when interacting with Batik Malangan. By implementing the procedures Kansei Engineering Type I, there are 30 words that appear using 14 stimulants of Batik Malangan. Statistical data analysis performed using multivariate analysis. The most important kansei words chosen by using Factor Analysis and Principal Component Analysis. In this study, a total of 61 respondents who are citizens of Malang and from outside Malang participated. For customers, the main attraction at the Batik Malangan is the motive, whether the primary motive, secondary motive, nor the isen motive. Until now, Batik Malangan's motive not yet have a characteristic, so it is less well known by customers. Overall, this study contributes to that Kansei Engineering is a method that can be used to capture the feeling of customers mainly on customized products. With so many product variations based on local wisdom should be able to be developed by actually capturing the customer's desire, not only explicit but also implicit.
