Textile industry has been influenced by the globalization process more than any industry in the world. Given that a high volume of the country's industry is at disposal of small and medium industries it seems that paying attention to textile industries and improving their status could be a useful strategy for economic development of the country. According to results of the present survey textile industry has been dropped from rank 9 in 2009 to rank 8 in 2008 in two time periods under study. This shows there is a basic weakness in this industry and necessity of a new and innovative strategy seems essential. Keywords: dividend, numerical taxonomy, stock exchange, textile industry
