The progress of technology and information system force digitalization process such as e-commerce to emerge. In Indonesia, the utilization of e-commerce has flourished because it has many benefits and advantages to broaden the market and stay competitive. However, it is faced with many challenges such as fraud, commission fees, limited contact between buyer and seller and misuse of personal data. Blockchain implementation has the potential to solve this problem with increased security and transparency through the implementation of cryptocurrency in payment and smart contracts. This paper explores the usage of the blockchain, cryptocurrency and smart contract to e-commerce for a secure and efficient transaction in Indonesia. The result will be used to propose blockchain technology as e-commerce platform architecture and systems in Indonesia.
Software quality testing is one of the stages in SDLC (systems development life cycle). Software or application testing can’t ensure quality free of bugs or errors, but can provide trust and assurance to the application at some level. Software of freight forwarding, from the development, implementation and testing of this application can achieve some desired objectives by the user that is to help transportation services become more effective and efficient, providing convenience in terms of data and information process. With the use of the application compared with the process of recording manually is facilitate the decision makers to be able to monitor transactions and reports in a short time. To design and implement reliable Information Systems (IS) of freight forwarding and avoid bugs or errors, comprehensive testing is required based on the ISO 9126 method, which includes attributes such as aspects of functionality and Maintainability. Testing an application or software is an activity to check if the actual results match the expected results and to ensure that the application is bug-free. IS of freight forwarding services is appropriate and able to become software in the desired by the user consisting of input, process, and output.
This study aims to determine the feasibility of IT investment in hospitality and determine the value and tangible/ intangible benefits from IT implementation. Problem arises from high investment without knowing the real impact and future investment to IT development. The scope of this research is information technology investment in five star hotel in Jakarta. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the research samples, are Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Ayana Midplaza Hotel Jakarta. The analysis uses the information economics (IE) approach that combines financially and non-financial calculations to determine the feasibility of IT investment and the benefits of IT for 5-star hotels in Jakarta. From the analysis result, it can be concluded that five star hotel in Jakarta is feasible to make IT investment with ROI score more than 1 and scorecard value 28 which shows that IT investment in 5-star hotel is quite beneficial for hotel business process.
