Education character that has been done at this time seems still unable to show its success in improving the nation character. Although it is too early to assess the success of the new idea, by looking at the various cases of moral degradation which is lately increased by students, it strengthens that character education still needs attention and improvement. By this, the government is supposed to provide the space for the education observers for contributing their thought and patching the gap that is still lacking from the character education. In this occasion, the researcher raises the thought of one of the Islamic Education form, namely Adian Husaini, discussing about his contributions aim to improve the education. By borrowing the concept of Islamic Education from Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, which bases on ta’dib, Adian Husaini arranges that Islam is the main principle in Islamic education and character education. Thus, all important aspects such as objectives, curriculum and evaluation must run according to the Islamic worldview. The hope is that education can generate the generation of believers, devout, civilized, and intelligent and noble. Abstrak: Pendidikan karakter yang telah dilaksanakan saat ini, terlihat masih belum mampu menunjukkan keberhasilannya dalam memperbaiki karakter bangsa. Meskipun terlalu dini untuk menilai keberhasilan dari gagasan yang masih berusia muda tersebut, namun dengan melihat berbagai kasus degradasi moral yang semakin marak dilakukan oleh para pelajar akhir-akhir ini, menguatkan bahwa pendidikan karakter masih perlu mendapatkan perhatian dan perbaikan. Dengan ini, maka sudah sepatutnya pemerintah memberikan ruang kepada para pemerhati pendidikan untuk menyumbangkan pemikirannya, menambal celah yang masih kurang dari pendidikan karakter. Pada kesempatan ini, peneliti mengangkat pemikiran salah satu tokoh pendidikan Islam, yaitu Adian Husaini, mengenai sumbangsihnya dalam rangka perbaikan pendidikan. Dengan meminjam konsep pendidikan Islam dari Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, yaitu berbasis pada ta’dib, Adian Husaini merumuskan bahwa Islam merupakan asas utama dalam pendidikan Islam dan pendidikan karakter. Dengan demikian, segala aspek penting seperti tujuan, kurikulum dan evaluasi pendidikan haruslah berjalan sesuai dengan pandangan hidup Islam (Islamic worldview). Harapannya, pendidikan dapat melahirkan generasi yang beriman, bertakwa, beradab, cerdas, serta berakhlak mulia.
The current study aimed to identify the correlation between learning style and Multiple Intelligence among Muslim gifted and talented students. The study also attempts to investigate the most dominant learning style practice by Muslim gifted and talented along with the most dominant intelligence among them. To achieve this aim, the Multiple Intelligence Self Inventory (MISI) and Malay Version of Visual Aural Read or write and Kinesthetics (VARK) instruments were administered towards 165 Muslim gifted and talented students aged 14 to16 years old. Data were analyzed descriptive and inferentially and presented in a percentage frequency table. The results of the study showed that there are insignificant correlation between Multiple Intelligence and learning style among Muslim Gifted and Talented. Additionally, the study also discovered that the most dominant learning style practiced by Muslim Gifted and Talented students is Kinesthetics (48.10%) and the most dominant intelligence among Muslim Gifted and Talented students is Spiritual Intelligence (43.67%). The study concluded with suggestion of developing a module on teaching methodology for Muslim gifted learners.
Business technology has brought conventional marketing methods to the next level. These emerging integrated technologies has contributed to the growth and understanding of the consumer decision making process. Several studies have attempted to evaluate media content, especially on video advertising or TV commercials using various neuroimaging techniques such as the electroencephalography (EEG) device. Currently, the use of neuroscience in Malaysia's marketing research is very limited due to its limited adoption as an emerging technology in this field. This research uncovers the neuroscientific approach, particularly through the use of an EEG device; examining consumers' responses in terms of brain wave signals and cognition. A proposed theoretical framework on the factors affecting visual stimulus (movement, color, shape, and light) during the decision-making process by watching video advertising had been customized using two conceptual models of sensory stimulation. Ten respondents participated in the experiment to investigate the spectral changes of alpha brain wave signals detected in the occipital lobe. A 2-channel Arduinobased EEG device from Backyard Brains and Spike Recorder software was used to analyze the EEG signal through Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method. Results obtained from the investigated population showed that there was statistically significant brain wave activity during the observation of the video advertising which demonstrated the interconnection with short-term memory through visual stimulus. Application of the neuroscience tool helped to explore consumer brain responses towards marketing stimuli with regards to the consumers' decision-making processes. This study manifests a useful tool for neuromarketing and concludes with a discussion, together with recommendations on the way forward.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan budaya organisasi dengan pendekatan Structural Equalition Modelling (SEM) pada Sekolah Islam Asy-Syukriyyah Tangerang. Model dikembangkan dari teori budaya organisasi Stephen Robbins yang meliputi tujuh perspektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan menyebar kuesioner. Informan penelitian meliputi seluruh manajemen pada enam unit pendidikan jenjang dasar dan menengah di bawah Yayasan Islam Asy-Syukriyyah Tangerang. Meliputi TKIT Asy-Syukriyyah, SDIT Asy-Syukriyyah, MI Plus Asy-Syukriyyah, SMPIT Asy-Syukriyyah, MTs Plus Asy-Syukriyyah dan SMAIT Asy-Syukriyyah. Teknik analisa menggunakan software GeSCA version 1.5 untuk mengetahui pengaruh antar perspektif budaya organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi dari seluruh perspektif budaya organisasi pada manajemen Sekolah Islam Asy-Syukriyyah menggambarka hasil yang baik. Selain itu hasil penelitian menunjukkan perspektif inovasi pengambilan resiko dan perhatian pada detail berpengaruh terhadap perspektif orientasi hasil, orientasi individu dan orientasi tim. Perspektif inovasi pengambilan resiko dan perhatian pada detail tidak berpengaruh terhadap perspektif agresivitas dan stabilitas. Perspektif orientasi hasil, orientasi individu dan orientasi tim berpengaruh terhadap perspektif agresivitas dan stabilitas. Perspektif pengambilan resiko dan perhatian pada detail berpengaruh terhadap agresivitas dan stabilitas dengan perspektif orientasi hasil, orientasi individu dan orientasi tim sebagai variabel intervening.
