Indoles are extremely important and versatile building blocks in the field of chemistry. This review highlights the advance made in the three-component reactions of indoles between 2011-2021. The reaction types are classified into three categories based on the trigger mechanisms.Reactions with alkenes, alkynes, aldehydes, imines, ketones, S, Se, etc are discussed. In order to highlight the mechanisms involved, this review has provided specific analysis inside a gray box in each scheme. We hope these studies will promote future research in the indole area.
An unprecedented elimination of diazomethane process of diazo group bearing hypervalent iodine reagent has been described. The process provides ester and phosphonate radicals, which can react with 2-isocyanobiaryls to afford...
Metal–organic framework composites have the advantages of large surface area, high porosity, strong catalytic efficiency and good stability, which provide a great possibility of finding excellent electrode materials for electrochemical sensors.
NHC-alcohol adduct-mediated deoxygenation of alcohols under photocatalytic conditions is described. The process provides various alkyl radicals, which can react with 2-isocyanobiaryls to afford 6-substituted phenanthridine derivatives in moderate to good...
A water-promoted DABCO-organocatalyzed hydrodecarboxylation of conjugated carboxylic acids has been developed, providing the corresponding decarboxylation products in good to excellent yields. This metal-, photocatalyst-, and oxidants-free protocol features high functional...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
