First year student are one of the groups that are prone to depression. This is because the first year student is in a transition period or in a new condition that initially senior high school student becomes a college student. In addition, busy schedules, new learning environments and homesickness can trigger depression in college students. This study used a cross sectional study design. Respondents in this study were new students of the Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) of Airlangga University in Banyuwangi, class 2019 with a total of 110 students. Depression levels were obtained from the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) questionnaire. Meanwhile, the adaptability was obtained from the Communicative Adaptability Scale (CAS) questionnaire and the place of residence was obtained from questions about where to live during college. A total of 53 out of 110 students (49,1%) experienced low depression and students who experienced high depression were 57 out of 110 students (50,9%). The results of the chi square test regarding the relationship between residence and the level of depression of new students, obtained data p= 0.008 (p <0.05). Chi-square test results regarding the relationship between adaptation ability and depression level of new students, obtained data p = 0.001 (p <0.05). There is a relationship between residence and adaptability with the degree of depression of new students. Higher education institutions are expected to pay more attention to the psychological conditions of students and new students are expected to maintain good coping management in facing the new environment.Keywords: depression level, adaptability, place to live, new students ABSTRAKMahasiswa baru adalah salah satu kelompok yang rentan mengalami depresi. Hal ini dikarenakan mahasiswa baru berada pada masa transisi atau suatu kondisi baru yang awalnya siswa SMA menjadi mahasiswa. Selain itu, jadwal yang padat, lingkungan belajar yang baru dan homesickness dapat memicu depresi pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian crosssectional. Responden pada penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa baru Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) Universitas Airlangga di Banyuwangi angkatan 2019 dengan jumlah 110 mahasiswa. Tingkat Depresi didapatkan dari kuisioner Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II). Sedangkan kemampuan adaptasi didapatkan dari kuisioner Communicative Adaptability Scale (CAS) dan tempat tinggal didapatkan dari pertanyaan mengenai tempat tinggal selama kuliah. Sebanyak 49,1% (53 dari 110 mahasiswa) mengalami depresi ringan dan mahasiswa yang mengalami depresi berat sebanyak 50,9 (57 dari 110 mahasiswa). Hasil uji chisquare mengenai hubungan tempat tinggal dengan tingkat depresi mahasiswa baru, diperoleh data p=0,008 (p<0,05). Hasil uji chisquare mengenai hubungan kemampuan adaptasi dengan tingkat depresi mahasiswa baru, diperoleh data p=0,001(p<0,05). Terdapat hubungan antara tempat tinggal dan kemampuan adaptasi dengan tingkat depresi mahasiswa baru. Institusi perguruan tinggi diharapkan lebih memperhatikan kondisi psikologis mahasiswa dan mahasiswa baru diharapkan tetap mempertahankan manajemen koping yang baik dalam menghadapi lingkungan baru.Kata Kunci: tingkat depresi, kemampuan adaptasi, tempat tinggal, mahasiswa baru
Latar Belakang: Kolam renang merupakan salah satu tempat umum yang harus tejaga kualitas lingkungannya dari berbagai segi. Salah satu wujud upayanya adalah dengan melakukan kegiatan sanitasi kolam renang. Kegiatan sanitasi merupakan usaha mengendalikan dan mengawasi atas faktor fisik lingkungan yang memengaruhi kesehatan manusia. Sanitasi kolam renang penting dilakukan agar kualitas lingkungan meningkat, sehingga kecelakaan, penyebaran penyakit dan keracunan dapat dicegah secara tepat.Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan lingkungan pada kolam renang X di Kabupaten BanyuwangiMetode: Penelitian menggunakan metode observasional dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Waktu penelitian yaitu 30 September 2019 bertempat pada kolam renang X di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Observasi dilaksanakan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yang telah disusun berdasarkan peraturan yang ada dan telah diolah. Peraturan yang dimaksud yaitu Permenkes no. 32 tahun 2017 tentang standar baku mutu kesehatan lingkungan persyaratan kesehatan air untuk keperluan higienis sanitasi kolam renang, solus per aqua dan pemandian umum, Permenkes no.061/MENKES/PER/I/1991 tentang persyaratan kesehatan lingkungan kolam renang dan pemandian umum, Permenpar no. 16 tahun 2015 tentang standar usaha gelanggang renang dan Permenpora nomor 0636 tahun 2014 tentang standar prasarana olahraga berupa bangunan kolam renang. Beberapa variabel yang dimuat dalam instrumen penelitian yaitu tempat, bangunan, kolam renang, fasilitas penunjang dan sarana prasarana.Hasil: Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan nilai pada setiap variabel yaitu untuk tempat memiliki nilai 1,95, variabel bangunan memiliki nilai 2,55, variabel kolam renang memiliki nilai 4,2, variabel fasilitas penunjang memiliki nilai 4,8 dan variabel sarana prasarana memiliki nilai 2,2. Nilai tiap variabel tersebut dilakukan perhitungan total nilai dan membandingkannya dengan kategori yang ada sehingga sanitasi kolam renang X di Kabupaten Banyuwangi masuk dalam kategori baik dengan hasil perhitungan yang didapat yaitu 80,3% atau hasil total nilai 15,70.Kesimpulan: Secara umum kondisi kesehatan lingkungan pada kolam renang X di Banyuwangi dalam kondisi yang baik. Meski begitu, kolam renang X di Kabupaten Banyuwangi masih perlu melakukan perbaikan terhadap beberapa variabel yang belum memenuhi persyaratan.
Background: The cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia continues to increase, various policies have been set by the government to prevent cases increase, one of which is the implementation of the vaccination program. However, there are still people who are hesitant or afraid to COVID-19 vaccination. Based on a survey conducted by the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2021, some of the most common reasons for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine are related to vaccine safety (30%); doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccine (22%); distrust of vaccines (13%); concern about side effects such as fever and pain (12%); and religious reasons (8%).Objectives: To Analyze the relationship between vaccination status and gender with level of confidence to use of Covid-19 vaccination in the community.Methods: Observational research using a survey approach, cross-sectional study design. The population is adults who access the Healthy People Mall program in Banyuwangi, with a total sample of 437. Conducted from March to October 2021. Collecting data by studying literature and distributing online questionnaires using google forms. The level of confidence is obtained from the total score of 3 confidence indicators. Processing and analysis of research data using the Chi-square test.Results: 87.8% of females and 82% of males were vaccinated. A significant relationship between the level of confidence to use of the Covid-19 vaccine and vaccination status (P-value = 0.000), and no relationship between the level of confidence to use of the Covid-19 vaccine and gender (P-value = 0.124).Conclusions: The Majority of people who access the Healthy People Mall in Banyuwangi are vaccinated. The proportion of vaccinated, women is higher than men. The variable that has a relationship with the level of confidence in the use of the Covid-19 vaccine is vaccination status, while gender does not have a relationship.
