Everyday, an estimated 300 million women and girls menstruate. The main problem for adolescents during menstruation is the lack of knowledge about menstrual hygiene management (MHM). During menstruation, women should really be able to keep the reproductive organs extra clean, especially the vaginal part, because if they are not kept clean, it will cause excess microorganisms and can interfere with reproductive function. The purpose of this community service is to identify the knowledge and understanding of students about menstrual hygiene management. This activity was attended by as many as 150 students. The method used in this community service through several stages, including compiling an activity plan, coordinating and advocating with the school, the second stage, namely implementation by providing material on online menstrual hygiene management with ZOOM teleconferencing media, evaluating activities through Google Form. Dysmenorrhea is a menstrual disorder caused by an imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood. The incidence of dysmenorrhea 45-95% among women of childbearing age, occurs in adolescents who lack sports. The impact of dysmenorrhea is the percentage of attendance at college and not participating in learning. One way to deal with pain is yoga. This study aims to analyze the effect of yoga on dysmenorrhea. The study design was a quasi-experimental one-group pre-post test design. The sample in this study was 33 female students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure the scale of pain during menstruation uses the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The collected data tested for normality data, and the data is normal, then the statistical test is done using repeated Anova test. The analysis showed that there were differences in pain scale before and after months 1 and 2 interventions with mean (sb) pain scale (5.8 (1.6) vs. 4.0 (1.7) vs. 2.7 (1.3) and P <0.05). The study concludes that yoga affects the decrease in pain scale during dysmenorrhea.
Smoking is a health problem in Indonesia and one of the main factors of several chronic diseases that can lead to death, although many smokers are aware and admit that smoking can lead to cancer. WHO estimates that the number of smokers in Indonesia in 2025 will increase to 90 million people, or 45% of the total population. Some adolescents think that smoking is a need to relax or other reasons that make smoking commonplace. The proportion of smoking among people aged ≥10 years in Indonesia with smoking behavior every day is 24.3% and occasional smoking is 4.6%. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and smoking behavior in adolescents. The research method used is correlational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were students and female students at SMKN Kota Jambi, the sampling technique with accidental sampling was 49 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate and statistical tests were performed using the ch-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents had good knowledge of 57.1%, a positive attitude of 59.1% and the majority of adolescents did not smoke 63.2%. The statistical test results showed no significant relationship between knowledge and smoking behavior (P> 0.005) but there was a significant relationship between attitude and smoking behavior in adolescents (P <0.005). It is hoped that the school will implement a smoking-free area and put up a warning poster for the dangers of smoking in the school environment and carry out continuous monitoring and evaluation
Reproductive health education for deaf adolescents in Indonesia still rarely gets the government's attention and educators in particular. Reproductive health education for deaf adolescents. This reproductive problem for the deaf is evident from the lack of comprehensive literature on the reproductive health of deaf adolescents. Information about reproductive health is necessary because deaf adolescents usually have the same development and sexual desires as normal adolescents. This research analyzes the need for digital reproductive health promotion media for deaf students. This research is explanatory research with a qualitative approach for the needs of digital-based promotional media for reproductive health during puberty. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and in-depth interview guides. Data analysis using content analysis (content analysis). All of the informants stated that they had never received reproductive health counselling. They were also never invited to discuss changes in puberty. The majority of students and parents stated that they needed reproductive health promotion media that were easily accessible and adapted to the limitations of deaf students. The media for promoting reproductive health during puberty that deaf students need focuses on text and images delivered digital-based so that they are easy to access.
Anemia is the impact of nutritional problems on young women which affect the decrease in concentration and learning achievement. The prevalence of anemia among adolescents in Indonesia is 32%, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 adolescents suffer from anemia. This is influenced by habits and nutritional intake that is not optimal and lack of physical activity. It is necessary to prevent anemia considering the long-term impact of young women is the nation's next generation which will determine the next generation. Dates contain iron which plays a very important role in the formation of red blood cells, the iron content in 100 grams of dates is around 280 calories and various nutrients, one of which is 1 mg of iron. This community service aims to increase youth knowledge about anemia, prevention of anemia, the content and benefits of dates. This community service method is lecture and discussion. The media used for counseling are leaflets, PPT. to measure knowledge (pre-test and post-test) with a questionnaire. held at the Baiturrahim Health Vocational School, Jambi City, in January 2022, attended by 35 participants. The result of this community service is an increase in students' knowledge about anemia, prevention, content and benefits of dates. It is hoped that young women can apply clean and healthy living behaviors as an effort to prevent anemia
