In the modern world, a lack of magnesium in the body is one of the most common deficient conditions in humans. Low levels of magnesium have been associated with a number of chronic diseases. This work is devoted to the study of the effect of the use of the balneological means "Magnesium oil" for the correction of the manifestations of experimentally induced magnesium deficiency. The experiment was conducted on 50 white female rats of the Wistar auto-breeding line which were divided into 3 equal groups: (1) control, (2) model of magnesium deficiency, (3) received "Magnesium oil". As a result of modeling the state of magnesium deficiency, significant changes are observed in the central nervous system, vegetative nervous system, and kidneys of animals. The use of balneological means "Magnesium oil" can significantly reduce the negative manifestations of magnesium deficiency.
The article presents the results of comprehensive studies of the influence of peloids from different geographic regions of Ukraine and different genesis on the course of experimental pathology. Methods:At the first stage of research we have determined the type of peloids these are medium-mineralized weakly sulfide magnesium-sodium silt peloids, low-ash organic sapropels, and peat low-mineralized high-ash sulfide-free peloids. Physicochemical parameters have been established: mass fraction of moisture, volumetric weight, hydrogen sulfide content, contamination with particles with a diameter greater than 0.25 × 10-3 m, shear stress, stickiness, specific heat capacity, the content of organic substances, colloidal complex, the concentration of water conduit ions (pH) , redox potential (Eh). In the second stage of the study, 55 white rats were examined for the state of the liverʹs detoxification function (by carrying out a metabolic test using sodium thiopental) and the morphological form of the liver in normal conditions and toxic alcoholic hepatosis. The toxic alcoholic hepatosis model was induced by daily (30 days) intragastric watering of animals with a 25% solution of ethyl alcohol. From the 15th day, the rats received a course of applications: a cake with the corresponding peloids was applied to the bare part of the back. Results: It was determined that the peloids used had a positive effect on animalsʹ condition, which was expressed in the restoration of the detoxification function of the liver and its structural and functional organization. The most substantial positive effect is observed when using silt-sulfide peloids, which, according to the authors, is due to the peculiarities of their physicochemical composition (increased content of magnesium, chlorides, sodium, as well as hydrogen sulfide). Conclusion: Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that the studied peloids meet the criteria for the quality of therapeutic peloids in terms of physicochemical parameters, biological activity, and expands the possibilities of their application in balneology. The article presents the results of studies of the effect of radon and sulfide min-eral waters (MW) on Wistar rats with experimental arthrosis. materials and methods. Rats were randomized into 4 groups. Group 1 consisted of intact rats (control group). In the remaining three groups, a model of knee arthrosis was reproduced using dexamethasone injections. Group 2 consisted of rats with untreated pathology. Group 3 consisted of rats using radon MW procedures, and group 4 consisted of rats using sulfide MW. Results. Morphological studies have determined that using radon and sulfide MW has a curative effect on the structural and functional organization of the joint and cartilage - the manifes-tations of inflammation in the knee joints are significantly reduced, dystrophic manifesta-tions disappear, and reparative processes in cartilage improve. There are signs of an im-provement in the state of metabolic processes in the body of rats: the balance in the lipid peroxidation and antioxidant systems is restored, and the indicators of the processes of energy supply of transmembrane transport (according to the activity of magnesium-dependent Na+/K+-ATP-ase and Ca2+-ATP-ase) and protein exchange.Conclusion. Based on the data obtained, it was concluded that both applied MWs have a unidirectional, but somewhat different in strength, curative effect on the course of experimental arthrosis, which is due to different mechanisms of the biological action of radon and hydrogen sul-fide. Introduction. The increase in the number of children with oncological diseases requires development of effective methods of medical rehabilitation. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of the use of low-frequency magnetotherapy (LFMT) in children with diseases of the nervous system, manifested in the period of remission of oncological diseases (OD) in the complex of sanatorium rehabilitation (SRR). Methods: Children with OD at the stage of rehabilitation in a sanatorium underwent a clinical examination: medical history, concomitant pathology, complaints, clinical examination, assessment of neurological status; instrumental studies: electroencephalography (EEG) - assessment of the bioelectrical activity of the brain; echoencephalography (EchoEG) - assessment of CSF dynamics; Doppler ultrasound (USDG) - assessment of cerebral circulation. For 25 children with concomitant diseases of the nervous system during the period of OD remission (17 people) and solid tumors (8 people), in addition to the general complex of SRR, magnetotherapy was prescribed for the cervical-collar zone according to the following method: magnetic induction 20 - 30 mT, exposure 10 - 15 minutes, every other day, for a course of 5 procedures. Results: The use of the therapeutic complex TFR with the additional prescription of magnetotherapy can reliably reduce childrenʹs complaints in remission of the OD for the impaired activity of the nervous system. According to the USDG indicators, statistically significant positive changes in cerebral hemodynamics were established. The results of ultrasound echoEG indicate the improvement of CSF dynamics. According to the EEG data, positive changes in the state of brain electrogenesis were established. Conclusion: The effectiveness of LFMT in children in the period of remission of oncohematological diseases with concomitant diseases of the nervous system has been substantiated.
